Ok, placed an online order here. Pretty easy interface, with options and extras. My wife got the taco dinner. She did all 3 ground beef tacos with lettuce & tomatoes, and rice. I ordered the chicken protein bowl, complete with lettuce, beans, cheese, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and added guacamole and sour cream. The amounts of food are decent, and the food is better than most. My chicken bowl & the taco dinner were not real hot. Maybe that's an issue with online ordering (I was there right on time & it's only 5 minute drive to home) vs getting it hot in the store, or dining inside. Because it's December warm food is my preference. So while my protein bowl was good, it may have gotten 5 stars if the chicken & rice were hot ( or even warm). The bowl would be great in summer, were hot food isn't as important maybe. I didn't dine inside, but it looks casual, basic - nothing fancy. I'll try it again, dining inside next time, to see if it hits 5 stars. My wife said the tacos were pretty good, but not hot either. It does make a difference!
Update 12/23/24 I visited inside for lunch. Got the 3 assorted tacos meal. I ordered ground beef, steak, chicken. All with Mexican style seasoning. They come on small, double soft taco shells. The flavor is good. The ground beef & chicken were the best. The steak meat was a little chewy - so maybe sitting too long? Flavor was OK, but the steak meat was not browned either. So not 5 stars. The inside has Mexican music and is spacious. Inside, was better than takeout. A good value - not...
Read moreService was fast considering they JUST opened at this location (people have no patience) ... Gentleman taking orders was knowledgeable and polite considering how busy this joint was. I ordered one Pastor taco and two Barbacoa tacos, all three were made Mexican style. (Grand Opening special: $2 tacos, limit 3). I waited for my order no more than 5 minutes. And they were hot! Not spicy hot, but temperature hot. The pork (Pastor) was delicious! well marinaded pork and generous onions and cilantro. The Barbacoa (beef) tacos were probably the best I've had in a very long time. Super Delicious!! I heard about Taco Pros a few years ago listening to the clowns on 670 The Score from Chicago. I remembered they raved about their Barbacoa... so, when I learned a TP was opening in Franklin, Wisconsin, I decided (as I was in the neighborhood) to swing by and wait in line. You should also. I'd say you won't be disappointed, but who knows. Everyone is incognito'd opinionated these days.
My only change to this place would be to scrap the modern dance music blaring over the speakers and replace it with authentic Mexican music, like The Son, Corrido, Ranchera, Mariachi, and Banda genres. EDIT: I have returned a few times since my first visit and I’m happy to hear some wonderful real Mexican music coming from their sound system! ¡El ambiente es...
Read moreRestaurant was clean, staff was very attentive during ordering, reading back to make sure everything was correct.
Food was also very good, we got tacos and enchiladas. Served cleanly and not a sloppy mess, which is rare in fast casual places.
Only complaint is that the horchata was gritty and the Pepsi was overly carbonated making it hard to fill a cup.
Overall we will be back, really pleasantly surprised!
I'd recommend for the restaurant to re-evaluate how the menu is displayed, it is not super easy to figure out all the options at first, and the Taco Pros website seems to imply there are more options than seen on the menu board. Also, maybe ask if the customer wants the red/green sauce sides. We didn't need them and felt bad...
