Exterior Improvements — Local services in Freehold Township

Initially I wasn’t going to leave a review but after giving it a bit more thought, I decided to acknowledge my experience with this company (specifically Sean).

I reached out to inquire about exterior work I wanted to have done to my home which was a pretty extensive renovation(18 new windows, new front door, closing in a carport roof, and James Hardie siding). I outlined this in my initial inquiry and also discussed in further detail with Sean during the follow up call to schedule our consultation. He seemed especially helpful, friendly, and clear on the scope of work I was looking to have done.

Fast forward to the day he arrived for his consultation and his disposition and attitude completely changed when I opened the door.

He was rude and condescending. Within two minutes of the consultation he outright asked me if I could afford the work wanted done and if I was aware of what my wants would cost.

Although, put off by his line of questioning I gave him grace and explained; he’s not my first consult for exterior work and I have thoroughly done my research regarding average costs for what I was looking to have done.

The consultation went on for about another 10 minutes or so in which he continued to question what I can afford. It was at this point I realized I no longer cared to consider this company for potential business. I cut the consultation short and excused myself. Unfortunate but thankful to experience his blatant ignorance and prejudice early in the process.

We recently used the services of exteriors improvement to replace our 30+ year old roof. We were very pleased with the professionalism and fast follow up from Ken Dinkel. We did request the quote a few months ago and received a very detailed and reasonable offer. Ken was very knowledgeable, patient and provided us his suggestion based on his experience. We are 1st time homeowner and replacing the roof was a 1st so we had a very great experience dealing with Ken as he was able to give us precious advises. Ken contacted us when the weather was favorable and had his crew come to the work! We were very impressed on how fast the roof was replaced, it took less than a day to get the old roof removed and new roof installed. With COVID we didn’t have to interact with the crew unless we wanted to. They came on time and worked really hard until the job was completed and the surrounding cleaned up. Really a great experience and I would definitely recommend the services from exteriors improvements. I strongly recommend this company to you. Exterior Improvements re-roofed my home. They are absolutely terrific from the sales representative/design consultant to the crew that installed the new roof and did the cleanup. They use the best materials, the workmanship is superb, the results are splendid, and the job was finished as planned. Everything went off like clockwork. This is a customer-centered firm. From the beginning to the end of the process, they listened carefully to what I wanted and explained the various the options that were available. I've worked on and supervised a variety of crews in my life and the eight person crew that worked on my roof was among the best I've ever witnessed. I could see that each person took pride in getting their part of the job done perfectly; and they easily interrupted what they were doing to help someone else with their job when it required more than one person. After the job was finished the sales representative/design consultant (Ralph O'Brien) called me to make sure I was pleased with the work -- as did the owner of the company!
