Harbor Freight — Local services in Freeport

Extremely cheap prices on tools. I think this is a good store for Freeport because people can buy tools locally that they would have to drive to Rockford or buy online if they wanted the tools. Buying these tools at a low price is good to see how the tool works, experiment with it, and if it is something that you will use alot you can always buy a higher quality item from Canada, Europe, or Japan. America is more on quantity so it is hard to find good US made tools. The only reason I am taking off a star is that there was a tool that was so low quality I just had to return it on principle even though I bought it for not that much money since the tool had chrome painted plastic as a tightening agent. I was greeted at the door by two employees that said I could not shop there without a mask on. I have a medical condition and cannot wear them. I went to Farm and Fleet down the street and bought what I needed. Then I went back and asked for a refund for my inside track membership since I couldn't use it. Then they told me if I have a medical condition I didn't need to wear a mask. But by then it was too late. Mike there refused to give me corporate phone number. Cheap prices on tools by far. All Harbor Freight Tools stires have a bad odor in them. Makes me wonder about the toxicity of the products and health of being in there breathing in the vapors and the long term health of employees breathing it all day long. I wasn't finding what I was looking for and was helped by a friendly and professional young man. He knew his store well and the products in there.
