Sea Love — Local services in Freeport

We came here for a date night last night and had such a great time! Amber was the employee who helped us and she was wonderful! There are lots of scents to choose from and they even have a little menu with recommendations as it can be a bit overwhelming too. They give you each an apron, walk you through the steps, then let you pour your candle/diffuser. After you complete the activity, you get 10% off all other items in the store as well. They have cute little bowls, tea towels, premade candles, etc.

We did one small candle and one diffuser. For both, it was about $90 (before tip). The diffuser was $48 & the candles start at $38. The candles have to set for 2-3 hours in store then you pick them up later. They recommend you not burn them for another 3-5 days as the wax is set but still soft. The diffusers you take home day of. The entire activity took about an hour. If you mess up your scents or don’t love them too, you can always start over! The employees really want you to be happy with your product and know their scents well!

I do wish they had more options for candle jars. They were cute but pretty basic (plain colors, matte or pearled) then only one kind of diffuser. It’s not ugly but it’s not the cutest either. Other than that though highly recommend this activity for couples, families,...

A must visit for Candle Lovers! We had such a lovely afternoon at Sea Love, a cozy little candle-making boutique nestled in the heart of Freeport, ME. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, both from the friendly staff and the dreamy scent of essential oils lingering in the air.

The boutique itself is beautifully laid out. The workshop space was perfect for getting creative! Melissa was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also super patient and encouraging. We had 3 little boys making candles! Patience was key! She walked us through the whole process—from picking our own scent blend to choosing our vessels to pouring the wax—making it both fun and easy for our indecisive crew!

What really stood out was the personalization. The boys loved naming their candles and even creating custom artwork for their labels! Lots of time went into the decisions and the staff couldn't have been more patient! The fancy markers and colored pencils on hand for the littles to create their artwork were a great bonus!

This is the perfect spot for a little afternoon fun! A girls' day out, date idea, or even a solo self-care session. Also with Mother's Day coming up, who wouldn't want a custom candle made by their little one from scratch!

For my husbands 50th birthday his gift was 50 first dates( things we haven’t done) and Sea Love in Freeport was date #14. I was worried he wouldn’t enjoy it but I was proven wrong. From the moment we entered the store we felt welcomed. We were early for our scheduled time, but that was not an issue and they quickly got us started on making our candles and throughout the whole experience had nothing but positive feedback. The whole experience was enjoyable, a quiet, relaxed space and we laughed and smiled the whole time. Such fun memories made, and we have delicious smelling candles to enjoy and remind us of this date for many many hours to come.
