Lot of penalties here in Mission Peaks when we move out from apartment.
This is Radhika. I lived at Mission Peaks apartment for almost 14 months. If there is an option to give 0% rating then I can give 0. I am not sure how people gave good reviews on these apartments. All the apartments at mission peaks got infected with bed bugs. It is not at all safe for kids to stay in these apartments. Even if we keep the apartment very clean still we cannot escape from bed bugs because complete apartment community got infected. But mission peaks management is not going to accept this fact and put all the fines on us. In past I have lived in Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma City. But these apartments are very worst apartments. Management mainly concentrate on penalties than anything else. Maintenance is very bad. And maintenance guys are very rude. We stayed at home without using bathroom for almost 1 day because there was a repair in toilet. They never ever clean the corridors. Somebody broke my friends car and their GPS got stolen. This community is not at all safe.
And management guys they put lot of penalties when we move out from the apartment. Here 8 persons live in single bedroom apartment. Even management knows about this fact but still they ignore because they have to get the money. They will raise rental price every year. It is not at all worth paying $2228 for single bed room apartment. When I tried to explain my concerns to Lisa she gave me Ali email id address. I sent him email regarding my concerns. He is saying you signed the lease agreement you accepted all the conditions so you have to bare all the expenses. Most of the apartments are vacant. And current residents they are leaving. Still there is no change in management.
For job purpose I terminated the lease and moved out of the state. These penalties they sent to me in mail.
If you are ready to pay below all the penalties, then please go ahead and choose these apartments. They have sent me Lease break 1 month penalty: $2228 For extra 5 days charge: $359.35 For Bedbug Treatment: $504 For Paint: $107.50 For Carpet Cleaning: $60 Because of bedbugs they cant put apartment in market for that penalty: $1868.65(they say vacancy loss due to bedbugs) Total they have asked me to pay: $5,127.50
There should be good law in USA to support residents to protect from rental harassment.
I have got reply back from Mission Peaks Team saying that they have charged vacancy loss due to Bed bugs is only $186.65. But the actual charge they have asked me to pay is $1868.65. 3 times I have posted my review on YELP. YELP is not showing up my review on their website. Read moreI no longer live at mission peaks. I loved my apartment and I loved living here. There are a few issues that I have. The complex of NOT always clean. I’ve seen trash sit in the hallway & staircase outside my door for more than 2 weeks until I cleaned it myself. Sometimes at night the complex turns off all the lights and it’s pitch back in the hallways and no lightning in the parking lot. I always assumed that this was a safe place but with the lights being out, it becomes a little creepy
When they are working on the apartment we don’t always get an email or notification. They worked on the roof without any notification and I had to deal with the noise while working from home. It was not a good situation with zoom meetings etc In the past the water has been turned off without any notice.
The phone number does not work - I’ve called multiple times and it’s rare for someone to answer the phone, it gets routed to a call center and not locally, so nobody can ever really help me. Any issue I have I’ve always visited the main office to ask questions or see if maybe I am not receiving the notifications etc
My REAL ISSUE is the gentleman named Nick that works at the main office. I’ve had six encounters with him and each time I leave more frustrated (sometimes infuriated) than when I arrived to the front office. Nick does not have a desire to help. He never has an answer and always blurred us off by directing me to my “email” (Ofcourse I’ve checked my email, why do you think I’m here?? ) I’ve even checked my email in front of him, to show I haven’t gotten any emails about the particular situation I’m inquiring about and he still tells me that it’s on my inbox - regardless he can’t or won’t help. This gentleman is rude with a smile - and is very condescending when he speaks. I refuse to talk to this gentleman anymore. Anytime I go to the main office, if he’s the only one there I just turn around and walk away. I am not leaving a review to get anyone in trouble, I am leaving this review because I’d like to see a change. I lived here and I value the community but the treatment I got from this gentleman is the reason why I have no desire to involve myself in the Mission Peaks community and did NOT renew with Mission Peaks
In my job, I manage a few retail locations and I can recognize the lack of desire to help people. But the difference is I do not “shop” here, I “lived” here!!! If it wasn’t for this gentleman Nick I would have given mission...
Read moreEDIT 5/25/2020 : I am adding a star (giving credit where credit is due, I am not just a savage reviewer) because of the way my last maintenance order was executed, It was the freezer door leaking and accumulating ice. They responded fast, it took 3 visits one from GE also but there were regular updates and follow ups. Most important , closed the work order after asking me if if it was complete unlike previous encounters.. Read on.
EDIT 1/30/2020 : looks like this is going to turn into a book. So today was just like any other weekday, I took a shower in the morning and left for work. I get a voicemail from a guy called Rafael from Mission peaks customer service informing me that maintenance will be going in my unit to check and make sure everything is fine because they were working on a clogged tub issue next door. I come reach back in the evening tired planning to take a hot shower and have dinner and sleep. But the moment I enter the apartment starts smelling foul and I find the bathroom tub in a pool of dirty muddy water choked up with some of my shampoo bottle and soaps fallen into the tub. guess how my evening went, I was bailing water smelling like rotten egg out for my tub and spend an hour cleaning it because I am working man and need to shower in the morning and go to work. I lost my appetite and got a headache because I was drained. The best part is I pay them rent for this. Please run as far as possible from this place DO NOT RENT with these people.
So I have ' unfortunately ' been the resident of this hideous apartment building since 3 months and I have had issues with bugs and the latest one triggered me to post this review. The kitchen sink water pressure just went super low all of a sudden. Almost 4 individuals visited on different occasions to just review the issue. This takes about a month. Then the fun starts. They claim that someone came and fixed it when no one was home and closed the issue when clearly absolutely nothing was done. The person on the phone says that it was reported as fixed. Now when asked isn't it easy for a plumber who is replacing the tap test it an know if the pressure is ok. And this is the reply "water pressure is subjective" 🤣🤣🤣 like I was trying to fly a rocket...
