Update 11/19/22 They started adding eggplant/ brinjal in sambhar. Now sambhar is very slimy. Does not taste as good as it use to be. You cannot request rasam instead of sambar. Peanut chutney is awful. Tomato chutney was better. Sambar could be better. Dosa and coconut chutney very good.

9/24/21 Ordered butter masala dosa with idli and vada. Butter masala dosa - was not cooked properly lot of uncooked lumps of dosa batter. Butter was not prominent. In Bangalore vidyarthi bhawan they put dollop of white butter on dosa. Sambhar was hot/spicy but lacked flavor and veggies today. Idili - it was cold. Tasted ok. Butter or ghee missing. Kind of dry. Vada - was hot and crispy from outside and light and fluffy inside. Vada pwasp the best dish.
Latest Ordered Andhra Kara Dosa with cofee. This was one of the spiciest dose i tried at dosa hut. Served with red chutney, coconut chutney and sambhar. Coconut chutney tasted fresh and sambhar was well spicy. Andhra Kara Dosa was quiet spicy but was balanced with less spicy potato filling.
Please work on the cleanliness of the business. Food is good.

Ordered Madurai Mali Dosa with filter cofee. Madurai Mali Dosa - Dose was good, flavorful and crispy. Green chutney inside dosa was pungent adding good heat and flavors to dosa. Aloo pallaya or potato malasa was good. It was less in chilli heat compared to Mysor Masala Dosa. Came with peanut chutney and coconut chutney. I like the flavor or coconut chutney. Sambhar had a quite a heat to it. Tasted really good. Filter coffer was good. They need to work on the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. Its kind of disorganized...
Read moreWe visited Dosa Hut for the first time and were genuinely impressed with the food. The dosa was hands down delicious. However, I did want to share some feedback about our experience with one of the staff members, which I hope is taken in the spirit of improvement. While asking for recommendations on a spicy dosa, my husband innocently and casually inquired whether the Andhra Dosa was a best-seller. The staff member — a young man ( I believe he is a student that’s why that amateur response)— responded rather abruptly, saying “Andhra is always special because Andhra people are special .” While that may have been intended to highlight the uniqueness of the dish, the tone felt dismissive and unnecessarily sharp. This wasn’t an isolated moment. We also noticed a similar tone when he responded to a friend’s query earlier. That said, I do recognize that everyone has tough days, and perhaps he was exhausted from a long shift. As a doctor, I understand the challenges of dealing with people continuously ..but professionalism and respect must remain constant, no matter how tired we may be. I’m sharing this feedback not to criticize, but in the hope that it helps create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers and also as a fellow Indian student in United States , I felt his remark could unintentionally spark communal or caste-based sentiments. This is the kinda behavior of our countrymen that sparks debates in the western world .Once again, the food was wonderful though , and I sincerely wish the staff...
Read moreAs a regular visitor to this dosa shop, I can confidently say that it’s one of the best spots to enjoy authentic South Indian flavors. The dosas here are always served piping hot, with the perfect balance of crispiness and softness. Whether it's the classic plain dosa, the masala dosa stuffed with spiced potatoes, or the specialty options, each one is prepared to perfection.
The chutneys—coconut, tomato, and coriander—are fresh and full of flavor, complementing the dosas wonderfully. The sambar is always rich, flavorful, and slightly tangy, making the entire meal a treat for the taste buds. The staff is consistently friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy, making it the perfect place to enjoy a hearty meal at any time of day.
I've also tried the idlies here, and they are consistently soft, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. For something a bit different, the Pongal is comforting, savory, and absolutely delicious—rich with spices and perfectly paired with sambar and chutney.
Every visit leaves me looking forward to the next. Whether I’m coming in for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this dosa shop never fails to deliver an outstanding experience. It's definitely a place I highly recommend to anyone looking for tasty, authentic South...
