I think I found my favorite brand of jeans. They are easily the most comfortable and stylish jeans I've ever owned - I knew as I was sliding them on for the first time.
Purchasing: I ordered online, easy to navigate, hassle free checkout. They processed my order the same day and I received my 2 pairs of jeans in 2 days.
Unboxing: I opened it and it was already feeling premium with a nice thicker-than-usual sheet of un-crumpled gift paper folded over to cover the pouches for a nice reveal.
Each of the jeans came in separate travel pouches, which were inside a plastic bag (which to me is nice case someone else's package in the truck decides to start leaking).
Pouches: The travel pouches are light, soft and thin, but seem durable. These would help when you travel to keep the jeans folded and in place when you pack them. They also fit inside medium size packing cubes. The pouches have 2 magnetic buttons and the logo embroidered on the flap, all in the rose gold that matches the metal on the jeans.
First impressions: When I pulled the jeans out of the pouches, the deep and dark navy dye contrasted nicely with accents of the rose gold metal. I wasn't sure I was going to like rose gold, but it isn't that super pink rose gold you see in a lot of other things. It's a nice hue that's a bit deeper and classy. They stick out just enough to be noticeable without being jarring to the overall aesthetic.
Something I wasn't used to, but I'm glad about - they don't have all those tags and stickers one would normally find when buying jeans in store. No area of fabric was punctured for a piece of plastic to hold a tag, and no stickers to rip off small but noticeable layers of dye when you remove them. Just a simple tag held on by a waxed rope (like shoelaces on dress shoes) in a loop so you dont even have to cut it.
Metal parts: The button, rivets and zipper pull are all smooth, nice and thick with beveled, round edges. The zipper itself is smooth and rugged and feels like it will keep on opening and closing for a long time.
The jeans: The jeans are on the smoother side (vs coarse) and the stitching looks solid. The material was made to stretch horizontally for added comfort. It's not a big stretch like pajamas or sweats, but trust me- the little bit of stretch makes a huge difference in overall comfort during the day, and keeps you in a better mood. Putting them on, they just glide on, no hassle, no struggle. As I've said, easily the most comfortable pairs of jeans I've owned.
The belt loops are stitched on solid - no wiggling or give. I measured and I think they can even accommodate up to 2" wide belts (I don't own any so I can't verify). The pockets are nice and deep, but not ridiculously huge.
Edit: I got the Atherton Classic and Saratoga Straight. Both fit well to the size I measured and picked based on their sizing chart and are the size I typically get in other brands. The Atherton is the looser fit but only by a little bit. I found the Saratoga to hug more on my calves and waist, and just a tiny bit more on the thighs (though people have commented my calves are a little thicker than normal so the places where it's tighter might be different for you).
Customer Service: Friendly and quick. I emailed and they got back to me super fast. FYI they don't do alterations but they recommended me to a local place and what to get (YMMV- I'm the city next to them). My only regret is that it sounds like I missed out on top notch, in person customer service during purchasing since I ordered online.
Overall, fantastic buy - these are luxury jeans both in looks and feel. Their attention to detail makes you feel like a VIP from their products and the experience. I've owned a couple pairs of "premium" jeans which have outlasted the "regular" jeans I used to normally buy because of durability, and resistance to fading. I've also worn and washed them more because of comfort, yet I've already had to replace the "regular" ones and they need replacing again. These pairs - I expect them to last for years to come, those years will...
Read moreI have been meaning to buy luxury jeans for some time now and upgrade my wardrobe, but didn't know where to start. My roommate coincidentally have just purchased some jeans from Soul of Nomad (SoN) and was so excited about his purchase. I didn't quite understand what he was so excited about, and so he urged me to try on his jeans; I instantly fell in love with the jeans and booked an appointment asap that Saturday.
At my appointment I had the pleasure to meet the two founders of Soul of Nomad, Naz and Nargiz. They showed me the different jeans they had, educated me on what to look for in premium jeans, shared their story about how they found SoN, and then discussed with me what the SoN brand meant to them. I felt very welcomed and I really appreciated the time they spent with me. One of the best customer service I received!
I tried on the Akira (Skinny) Miramar Blue, Brentwood (Slim) Azumuth Navy Blue, and Brentwood (Slim) Nightrider Black. All three jeans are amazing! The stitching, the fabric, the gold plated zipper, and the fit are all top-notch. I ended up buying all three, and have not regret the purchase since. These jeans are extremely comfortable and I look forward to wearing them all the time.
I don't think I can go back to wearing any other low-end jeans. I highly recommend booking at appointment with SoN and try on some jeans and learn about what the brand is all about - Then you will understand what I'm talking about! I have gotten several compliments about my jeans already. Extremely happy with...
Read moreBought a pair of midnight black jeans from them. They started ripping within the first few months. With very sparse use. I asked about this and they told me they'd need to give me the blue jeans instead because the black jeans had a manufacture defect.
I asked if there were other black jeans available (the color is important to me), and they said I'd need to pay $45 for it. And I'd need to wait until May. So I waited until May and asked them if I could pay $45 to get the new jeans. They say wait until June. Finally in JULY they told me I'll need to pay like $85 for the new pair of jeans due to price difference.
So long story short, I bought jeans from Soul of Nomad, they gave me a defective pair, and will charge me $85 for a similar replacement (even though they originally said it's $45).
I don't mind paying the $85 but there's no guarantee the new pair of jeans won't rip as well and they'll just endlessly charging me $85 for a replacement.
If you want to buy expensive, low quality jeans, this is the place to shop.
Does not make sense to buy from them when I could just buy from a different luxury brand that's...
