I rarely write negative reviews because I believe every business deserves the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, my experience with the event coordinator, was disappointing enough that I feel I must share it.

I was considering hosting my son’s birthday party here and scheduled a visit to see the arcade facility and ask some basic questions. Instead of straightforward answers, I was met with vague and dismissive responses. For example, when I asked what type of support the event host provides, I was told they “help with your needs.” When I asked specifically if the host would assist with something as simple as cutting and serving cake, event coordinator responded, “Our event hosts are not servants.”

This comment was unprofessional, unnecessary, and frankly insulting. A simple “we don’t provide that service” would have sufficed. Instead, it created confusion and left me feeling unwelcome. To make matters worse, she suggested that “maybe this facility is not for you” — which is not her decision to make. Her role should be to answer customer questions, not discourage families from booking events.

Every question I asked was met with vague or defensive replies, and I even had to point out that I am an immigrant trying to understand how things work here. Rather than helping, event coordinator attitude made the interaction more difficult.

Sadly, based on this interaction, I would not recommend this facility for hosting events. Management should seriously review how potential customers are being treated, because families exploring party options deserve respect, patience, and clear...

This is our second event here. The first was prior to COVID and it was a sit down luncheon/bocce ball for my in-laws 70th Birthdays (100 guests) and thier friends and family. When planning last minute for my Daughter's upcoming 16th Birthday (50 guests)she recalled her Grandparents birthday because they had rock climbing package for the kids. Even though the name had changed and inside set up a bit different it was pretty similar. They are very accommodating for requests. Like we added sherbet punch for our guests (not on menu) and they made a cute little sign printout that my Daughter wanted to keep. Day of we came in early to do a balloon arch and the staff was great asking what we wanted or where. They were very attentive the whole time. I like this venue as it's pretty big so you have options on where you wanted your set up. We lucked out and no other party was booked so we had the run of the place, which was nice to keep an eye on all the teenagers. I think the price is very reasonable for the venue, many of my Daughter's friends were very impressed as many have never been here as we are from San Jose so it was a new experience for many. We did rock climbing, pizza package, cake and added a few extra hours so the kids could enjoy the pool tables/ping pong/jenga/corn hole.. I had brought extra board/cardgames if there was a lag, but we never had to bring them out. They pumped in her spotify play list on the house sound system so all was good and everyone had a...

We’ve had both good and disappointing experiences with The Clubhouse Bistro and Bar, Golf Club, and Event Center in Fremont, CA.

Three years ago, we hosted a wonderful event here. The sit-down dinner, bocce ball, and overall atmosphere were fantastic, leaving us with great memories. Based on that positive experience, I decided to book another event this past week for 50 colleagues from work.

Unfortunately, this recent event did not meet expectations. Nowhere in the contract was it mentioned that the dinner would be buffet style rather than a sit-down service. Despite this, we were charged a 22% gratuity—an amount typically reserved for sit-down dining experiences, not for bar food served buffet-style. This unexpected expense created issues at work, as it significantly increased the event's cost for what felt like a more casual setup.

I contacted the event coordinator, Nicole Rodamer, to express my concerns and request a discount on the gratuity as a returning customer. Instead of understanding my perspective or addressing the issue constructively, I was told that I was "threatening" her. This response felt unprofessional and dismissive, especially considering I was simply trying to resolve the matter amicably.

I hope the owner, Ben M., sees this review and takes note. While we had a great experience in the past, this recent one left us disappointed and hesitant to return or recommend this...

The golf simulator’s pricing is incredibly high. They charge $20 per person per bay per hour. If two people are playing simultaneously, the cost will be $40. I’ve never seen a golf simulator charge per person rate. There’s a nearby place that costs $30 per bay, regardless of the number of players. However, if I book with Golfnow, they don’t disclose that the price is per person and per hour. They even allow me to choose up to six players with the same price. When I arrive at the clubhouse, they asked me to pay an additional $20 for each extra player. I informed them that since Golfnow didn’t mention the per person and per hour pricing, they should honor the reservation and fix their issue with Golfnow. Instead, the staff member was passive-aggressively handing the issue with me, asking me to talk to Golfnow. This is not a good experience.

The Clubhouse Bistro & Bar at Mission Peak Sportsplex is the ultimate hangout spot! With rock climbing, volleyball leagues, trivia nights, and a full kitchen, there’s always something going on. The vibe is active, welcoming, and perfect for groups or solo adventurers. Wednesday Poker Nights with Sunshine Poker League are a highlight—laid-back, social, and always a good time. Great competition, friendly faces, and tons of laughs. The food hits the spot, drinks are solid, and there’s no shortage of ways to have fun. Whether you’re climbing, playing, eating, or just chilling out, the Clubhouse delivers a full experience every time! #SunshinePokerLeague #MissionPeakSportsplex #ClubhouseBar #WednesdayPoker #PlayAndStay #EastBayEats #SupportLocal
