Summer Moon Coffee is hands down one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to. I can’t say enough good things about it. From the vibe when you walk in to the first sip of their coffee, it’s just next level. Let’s start with the thing that makes Summer Moon famous: Moon Milk®. Oh my gosh… this stuff is AMAZING. It’s their signature sweet cream and honestly, it changes the entire coffee game. It’s creamy, smooth, sweet but not too sweet, and it makes every drink taste like something special. You can get just a splash or go for the full thing, but either way, once you try it, you’re hooked. I never knew coffee could taste this good until I had it with Moon Milk. Now, I’m a big matcha fan, so I’ve tried matcha lattes all over the place. None of them compare to the matcha latte at Summer Moon. It’s the BEST one I’ve ever had, no contest. The flavor is balanced perfectly, earthy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. And when you add Moon Milk to it? Game over. It’s so creamy and comforting, I literally crave it. Honestly, I would drive out of my way just for their matcha. If you’re more of a coffee person, their lattes are unbelievable too. They roast their beans over wood fire, which gives the coffee this rich, unique taste you can’t find anywhere else. It’s bold but not bitter, smooth but still has depth. Add steamed milk or Moon Milk, and it’s basically a hug in a cup. Every latte I’ve had there has been consistent, delicious, and way better than what I’ve gotten at the big chain coffee shops. And don’t even get me started on the food. Their jalapeño kolaches are SO good. The bread is fluffy and soft, the sausage is perfectly savory, and the jalapeño gives it that kick that makes it stand out. It’s the perfect breakfast with a latte. Honestly, I didn’t expect to fall in love with a kolache at a coffee shop, but here we are. I can’t order coffee without grabbing one now, it’s like a must-have combo. What I also love about Summer Moon is the atmosphere. It’s cozy, welcoming, and just has good energy. You can tell they care about creating a space people want to hang out in. Whether you’re stopping in quick, meeting a friend, or even bringing your laptop to get some work done, it just feels right. The baristas are always super friendly too. They’re quick, helpful, and happy to explain the menu if it’s your first time. To sum it all up, Summer Moon isn’t just a coffee shop, it’s an experience. The Moon Milk is unlike anything else, the matcha latte is the best I’ve had in my life, the regular lattes are rich and smooth, and the jalapeño kolaches are the perfect snack to go with it all. Every visit feels special, and every drink tastes amazing. I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops, but Summer Moon has completely spoiled me. Once you’ve had their drinks, especially with Moon Milk, it’s really hard to go anywhere else. It’s become my happy place and my number one coffee spot. If you haven’t tried it yet, run, don’t walk. You’re going to fall in love with it...

The first time I went 2 months ago it was great. I told the lady taking my order it was my first time, she explained the menu well and although I wanted to try the nitro she said it was not working so I picked something else. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. 2nd visit still no nitro and my husband wanted a sweet coffee and explained that and the lady said she knew the perfect drink, to which it was not sweet at all but his pastry was good. 3rd time still no nitro but still advertising it on the menu. 4th time I tried the online order since I had 4 of my kids in the car I go in about 3 min before it was supposed to be ready, nothing and waited, running in and out to car and back as I saw other people show up and pick up there coffee. I even had a gentlemen offer me his coffee. Finally an employee gave me 5 seconds of her time and I asked about my order and she checked, did not see it and checked the computer and just said "the ticket never printed, I will print it and put it next in line." I said ok, my receipt just said it would be ready 20 minutes ok. To that she replied "ok, like I said I am putting it next in line." As she waved the printed ticket in the air at me. I had already been waiting and had my kids in the car so I did not have time to talk to her or the manager about it all like I normally would. But that was it, not that I expect everything free or anything but I ordered 2 coffees and 1 could have been comped or a pastry could have been offered and at the very least an apology especially since it was not my fault that the ticket did not print... but that being my 4th time visiting, I love the atmosphere and found my exact order I like unfortunately the false advertising and lack of good customer service has deterred me from wanting to give them my business or refer...

Fun atmosphere, fun drinks.

Since moving to Texas it’s been fun to see the more sweet side to coffee and Summer Moon has that in deliciously creamy droves. The sitting areas are straight out of a page of a Magnolia Target aisle advertisement in all the good ways. Very modern, fresh, farmhouse feel.

PRO’s: -VARIETY. You can have a very grown up, hot, black americano all the way to an extremely rich and creamy frozen coffee drink. If you want drink choices, you’re gonna have fun with the options available in tweaking your drink. -ATMOSPHERE. Very Chip & Joanna Gaines, you’ll know it when you see it. It’s fun but relaxing. Also includes a sit down area for little kids. -LOCATION. This is nestled quite nicely at the end of building with yoga and spin classes. Also, just across the street from HEB. So you can get your gym in, get coffee, then knock out some needed shopping all in one area! -OUTDOOR SEATING. Don’t want to sit among other human beings? That’s cool, go sit in the front or the back of this building for sun or shade for self reflection as you sip on your cup-of-Joe.

CON’s: -WAIT TIMES. It’s good stuff here, and people know about it. Thusly, you will wait in line, and wait after you’ve ordered, but this gives you time to have that meaningful conversation with someone, or yourself… -NO DRIVE THRU. Maybe this is a good thing as it forces you to slow down and enjoy your coffee.
