TL:DR - Eat here, you wont be disappointed and the staff is lovely!!

I love that the food is delicious AND healthy! Staff is very accommodating to allergies/sensitivities. A lot of dishes have multiple ingredients for complex flavors you typically don't get cooking quick meals at home.

For less complex, plain eaters but still appreciate deliciousness, I recommend chicken enchiladas, rebel french dip, or protein with two sides.

For those that like all of the flavors in one bite, the Mediterranean chicken kabob is my favorite bowl from the ones I've had (chicken yakisoba sub noodles for jasmine rice is my mom's favorite, and chicken enchiladas are the others I've tried). Carolina BBQ chicken wrap is really good and I loved the dressing that came with the side salad. I was surprised/impressed that my leftovers were just as good and not soggy at all the next day.

Sides - gluten free Mac & cheese, and chilled sesame noodles are my favorites. Fresh fruit was good smaller than expected for $6, broccoli was not cooked, I would say it wasn't even soft enough to be considered blanched but unsure if this is how it typically comes. Red chile glazed sweet potatoes are really good too.

Dessert - my mom loved the chocolate pudding that is both gluten and dairy free.

The staff was so wonderful, executing exemplary customer service. I didn't get her name but the woman with long blonde hair at the counter on the evenings of 9/22 - 9/24 was so helpful, acknowledged me as a repeat guest, and even asked about my mom who I was there visiting in...

This is the ONLY place in STL that actually feels like LA on the inside. The atmosphere is fantastic and brightens your mood. A great place to work remotely if you have the midday blues.

As for the food, the sides are absolutely delicious and full of flavor, however they go cold almost as soon as you receive it. So eating slow and enjoying your meal becomes quite a hassle. The steak is yummy but the cook on it is not consistent. The pinker pieces definitely have more flavor, unfortunately much of the steak I have received over the past couple orders have been over cooked and a bit dry. The miso crunch salad is very similar to the Health Nut Chicken Asian Salad (The famous Kardashian Salad) except for two distinct differences. The “crunch” is non-existent as there are not any won tons or rice strips. The salad could really use some sort of makeshift crouton to achieve this instead of relying on cabbage. The dressing is also more on the bitter side and doesn’t have the bright flare you’d come to expect from an Asian salad, making it fall short. A little sweetness and citrus added to the dressing would fix this. As for the drinks, same problem with sweetness. The lemonade is too sour and without the sweetness in their mango sencha green tea, it’s no different than making a mostly tasteless tea for yourself at home. Would love to see Flower Child tweak their recipes just a bit to add sweetness and brightness and this establishment would...

8-5-24 5-6:30pm I have experience with FC in the DMV & California. I have tried nearly everything on the menu. My favorite is the Mother Bowl but you can’t go wrong with any specials or salads. The cocktails, juices and lemonades are irresistible. Their lemon cake although small is amazing; other desserts are equally delicious. This new Frontenac location is the smallest store front I’ve been too so the atmosphere wasn’t the best. It felt cluttered and uncomfortable. The line was out the door and those customers held the door open letting flies in turn I fought off my plate the entire time I was there. As well the portions are incredibly skimpy and lack any presentation. Immediately, I regretted the expense for Uber and dining in. The servers on the floor were very pleasant both Jay and Karen were genuinely amazing. I was frustrated with front counter staff as they seemed to be unclear on how to help get my loyalty account attached to my order so I could not use any rewards. I also experienced their lack of assistance the day before when I called for help with an online delivery order. I was actually told the location did not do delivery orders; nonetheless, I got it to go through (Door Dash). However, the cost for delivery was just as much as my order but I was able to use at least 1 reward. I do recommend FC and I hope the kitchen gets in to a better flow and the front counter improves their...
