I recently purchased a custom suit from Indochino, and unfortunately, the experience was profoundly disappointing, primarily due to the poor fit and the unacceptable level of customer service. The Fit and Measurement Process (The Biggest Issue): The final suit fit is terrible. The custom, tailor-made promise was completely missed. Honestly, the measurements seemed so rushed and inaccurate that I feel someone with no experience—like a character from a movie, or even Michael J. Fox—would have done a better job. The core reason you buy custom is for a perfect fit, and this was far from it. Quality and Fabric Selection (The Only Positive): The only positive element was the variety of fabrics, patterns, and colors they had on offer. I was genuinely impressed by the range available, and the fabric I chose had a nice quality and color. Customer Service (Unacceptable): The in-store service was truly horrible. Despite having an appointment, I was left waiting for over 45 minutes to speak with a sales representative. There were two representatives in the store: one was preoccupied on the computer, and the other was assisting a client. It wasn't until a third representative arrived nearly an hour early for her shift (and wasn't even on the clock yet) that I finally received help. She was the only person who was proactive and attentive. Discount/Pricing Transparency (A Missed Opportunity): The initial sales representatives failed to inform me about available promotions. I only learned about the first-time buyer discount because I had seen it advertised on television. It was the proactive, off-the-clock representative who not only applied the initial discount but also made me aware of other available discounts, showing a level of dedication the others lacked. Conclusion: While the selection of fabrics and colors is excellent, this is completely overshadowed by the utterly poor measurement process, which resulted in a badly-fitting suit, and the truly dismal customer service. For a tailor-made suit experience, the fit and the service are paramount, and both were unacceptable. I cannot recommend Indochino based on...
Read moreI recently purchased a tailor-made suit from Patrick McCoy at Indochino - and I couldn’t be happier. From the moment I walked in, Patrick was knowledgeable, friendly, and absolutely determined to find the perfect fit for me. He intuitively zeroed-in on exactly my size and tailored the perfectly fitting suit for me. He took his time and made sure that everything was spot on with no pressure to upsell me anything more than what was essential.
Patrick was attentive throughout the entire measuring process, making sure that each measurement he took was precise — from the length of my arms, to the cut of my trouser legs. With his deep suiting knowledge and intuition for detail, he had an eye for what would work best for my body type and shape. His expert attention to detail gave me outstanding results!
My new custom suit fits like it was made exclusively for me — because it practically was! The quality is excellent; all seams are cleanly stitched, there are no defects in any of the material fabric or buttons; in short my suit looks brand-new but without compromising comfortability while wearing it.
The experience of working with Patrick has definitely made a big impression on me! I wouldn't think twice about coming back to him again due to his immense expertise coupled with genuinely friendly service that offer exceptional value and quality at an unbeatable price. If you're looking for a great suiting experience, I highly recommend visiting Patrick at Indochino - you won't be...
Read more"The perfect fit - completely made to measure - just for you". That's on their website and is literally what they've built their business on!
We decided to use Indochino for our wedding and they mis-sized 4 of 4 suits, including the grooms. All had fit issues and were too small, which meant new pieces had to be completely remade vs. simply altering to fit. Luckily, two of the groomsman can make do with their suits with some alterations but still not a perfect fit.
At this point, we've received one of the suit jackets back AND IT's STILL TOO SMALL. Seriously, how do you mess it up again - just make them too big and let him alter it. We're still waiting on the groom's new pants to show up and we're 3 weeks away from the wedding - fingers crossed they fit.
If you have all the time in the world to go back and forth with their staff to get a suit that actually fits, then I would say this is the perfect place for you. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere for suits, especially if you're counting on them for your wedding.
One positive, the staff was nice and I don't know if they measured incorrectly or if it's a manufacturing issue - so don't want to blame the staff.
I do not write negative reviews ever but if this can save a few brides from dealing with this stress then this...
