Anthropologie — Local services in Gainesville

I would not give them a star period. By far the rudest management I have ever encountered. They talk to you like you are below them and they are very condescending. I had a return and the instructions online told me to bring the item to the store and show them a barcode for the return. I get there and am told Anthropologie’s system is incorrect and I can’t return the item. They were not helpful and extremely rude. I would suggest getting nicer employees otherwise this location will lose revenue merely because of the atmosphere. No one even says hello when you enter the store, most are just standing around. Purchased online and tried to return in store to avoid return shipping fee. I called Anthropologie to confirm items could be returned in store and was sent a verification code to return in store. Employees refused to accept unworn, brand new return and told me their store didn’t accept sale item returns. I showed them that my receipt from Anthropologie listed the items as eligible for return in store. They did not care and refused to accept return. While the prices were great, the experience was horrible because my mother and I were racially profiled. When we initially checked out, we noticed the actual price was significantly lower than the tag price...so after paying for our items. We went to look again, the associate who checked us out came back there to “restock”...she was basically was doing nothing. We picked another item and checked out again. We knew what was happening so we asked if we could leave our bag at the register and looked yet again.
