Not sure we're to start when I walked in all the tables were nasty and chairs everywhere my order was supposed to be ready at 8:28 didn't get it until 8:50 customers were putting hand all over the cups and putting them back no one seemed to care u stand there and no one acknowledge is you at all. I spent 29.00 on two subs one was a meatball sub the other was the new French dip sub finally got them subs were not even warm they both were cold I got to car checked out everything fresh dip didn't even cover the bottom of the cup it came in and it was cold went back in asked the lady who BTW looked at me like I'm not supposed to be talking to her about the amount of dip I got that it was cold and was not a lot of the amount I paid out for this sub she snorted and said that's the way it comes didn't say sorry didn't try to resolve the issue whatsoever just turned away and then ignored me. So I got home with two cold subs and a splash of French dip sauce and I start eating my sub and half way in I find a blond hair in my food so needless to say I threw my sub away since I live 35 mins away from this place. I was so excited to eat here my husband had did nothing brag about fire house subs. He has never been to the location I went to tonight but it was the biggest let down ever. And I wanted to give them zero stars so I say watch this place when u go here to eat. I put a picture of the 14.99 sub that I didn't get to enjoy. Read moreI have always loved Firehouse but this location needs serious help and judging by some of the other reviews I'm not the only one that feels this way. I placed an order for pick up last week but when I arrived it was not on the rack by the door. I waited a bit because I thought they were backed up. When I finally asked about the order, the first response was I don't have an order for that name and did you select pay at counter. I thought someone was going to go check their system but instead they just went back to work. By now it was after 12:30. When I asked a second time the manager looked at me like I was bothering them but a worker finally checked the computer and found the order and responded someone took it. Instead of focusing on the customer the employee conversated with the manager about how someone took 4 sandwiches. While I waited for them to make the order I overheard employees complaining about each other, talk about what corporate needs and the manager tell another employee "you got me in trouble" and proceeded to tell a story about a customer complaint. The fact that I overheard her talking about another complaint and making the employee feel to blame speaks volumes about the store environment. It took close to an hour for me to finally get the order. When I got back to work 2 of the sandwiches were made wrong. Read moreWhile I enjoy Firehouse Subs in general, I will no longer be eating at this location. The last time (months ago) that I attempted to order online from this location the online ordering system didn't work. I tried multiple times across various browsers. Then I tried to call-in my order and after 10 or 15 minutes no one answered the phone. I took my business elsewhere that evening.
Tonight I tried again. Again the online ordering system would not accept my order. Again I called and while, this time, the phone was answered promptly, I was put on hold. I was on hold for 10 minutes. I decided to drive to the restaurant hoping to speak with a manager.
Upon arriving, I spoke with the manager who argued with me about whether or not I had even been on hold. I was told that they were aware of the problems with online ordering and had been for some time. It was recommended that I download the app. I eat at many different restaurants in the course of a year and I don't want to download apps for all of them.
The manager offered no discount or recompense of any kind for my aggravation. And I wasn't looking for any until she began arguing with me about whether or not I was ever on hold. To make matters worse, one of the employees had her mask below her nose the entire time totally defeating its purpose.
There are many sandwich shops here in Gainesville and I won't fight to give this one...
