They have EVERYTHING craft related here! I went here to get a candy thermometer and some silicone molds. Good prices on those items. You could take a whole day just exploring this store. There are isles with yarn for knitting, crochet, or whatever you need yarn for. Isles for paper that is perfect for scrap booking, card making, etc.. Isles for sculpting that have both professional and non- professional tools as well as different types and colors of clay. Isles for making necklaces or jewellery that provide several different types of beads. Isles for baking and making little chocolate shapes. They have all kinds of decorating tools and a few different types of silicone molds. There's also little bags of colored chocolate that's perfect for melting down and putting into the silicone molds. My brother got the Lego shaped mold and some of the blue and red melting chocolate. They melt great, but to me they are too sweet. Isles for painting with different qualities of paint brushes, professional or non- professional, and different kinds of paint such as watercolor, acrylic, or oil based. There's also painting paper and (if I remember properly) a small selection of canvases to choose from. Isles for fake flowers too. Isles for color pencils and markers. If you're into having quality markers, they sell Copic Markers at the front desk. They are expensive, GREAT quality markers. Most of the professional, expensive products are kept upfront behind...
Read moreDisclaimer: 2 is for the store pivoting and helping me and the second agent I spoke with, Angeli, otherwise this would be a 1-Star. I placed a custom frame order on 4/26/2023 and stated in my order that I would need the 4 frames by 5/9/2023. I printed my confirmation directly from the webpage, and never received an e-mail confirmation. I went to the store two days later to deliver the items to place in the frames. Upon arrival they stated they had no record of my order, and that it would take up to 2 weeks to process anyway. At that point they helped me pick out other frame options and processed a separate order that would be ready in a week. A few days later, I went to call customer service to process a refund as instructed. I chose the "call me" option, but no one ever returned a call to me that day. I called back the following day (today) and spoke with an agent. He took my information, placed me on hold, and then I was hung up on. I called again, went through the same questions, and was then transferred again to a 3rd agent. I am still on hold. They are asking for my order number, which of course the store staff kept and likely through away my printed screen grab of my order confirmation. My card has been charged $352.17 for an custom frame order that neither the local store or customer care can find. This...
Read moreAwful experience. Avoid at all costs. I had frames to return that I ordered online. I had them in the Michael’s box but it was not sealed. When I walked in, Scott (I later learned is the manger) did not greet me but said “That has to be sealed.” I said that it was a return to Michael’s. He said he thought it was a UPS drop off. It got worse. I had the packing material from Michael’s but that wasn’t enough. The cashier called for assistance and Scott came to “help.” He moved the frames to another register and I followed him. He rudely told me to go back to the other register; he was there to help other customers. Angelea (who was excellent throughout) came to help and took care of the problem and issued a refund. Michael’s is failing its customers in so many ways (look st their Better Business Bureau rating of 1.1). Scott is in the to g job. He had no idea what good customer service is snd had NO IDEA how to communicate...
