Went in for an appointment with one of their rheumatologists because my primary care doctor said that my symptoms suggested an autoimmune disease. My primary care doctor had already ran tests to rule out arthritis, but the rheumatologist insisted that there is no way that I have an autoimmune disease, and that it has to be arthritis. Was charged around $250 to order the tests (after insurance), and then over $110 just to run the tests, and of course my $60 co-pay for seeing a specialist. Over $400 to be told what my primary care doctor had already told me, that I do not have arthritis. On top of that, they rescheduled my appointment a month out from my original appointment, and on a Monday (can only do Fridays because of my work schedule, and I informed them of this twice), and they never called me about rescheduling my appointment, they sent a message through the app. I also declined pain meds at my appointment, informing the rheumatologist that I would prefer a diagnosis before throwing pain meds at the pain and inflammation...
Read moreDuring my wife's pregnancy we were told during the gender reveal I could not be in the room. How f'd up is that? Imagine your having your first child with your spouse and you can't even be there and one of your very first special moments have been stripped from you. Knowing it was there waited till after thew paperwork was done to even mention "Policy" and not even a state law that was passed. Me and her already has to wait 28 weeks to find out the gender a whole 2 months late because the couldn't get the office to do their job professionally. I have the upmost respect for doctors and nursing staff but this came from the higher ups and when it comes time to explain the situation are left to just simply reply. I am sorry this is "policy" I don't feel that was good enough and furthermore feel as if my wife's "patient rights" were violated during this process. We will be contacting a lawyer. Not recommended to come here. Ease look elsewhere where policies do not over rule law and a patient's rights is my...
Read moreIve been a patient at the internal medicine practice on the fourth floor for two years. In two years, they've had a high turn over of staff. That's a red flag. After having scheduled an appointment for medical treatment two months in advance, confirmed via text - I took an uber to my appointment. I waited for just ten minutes when a staff member decided to come out to the waiting area and violate the HIPPA LAW BY HURLING OUT MY MEDICAL CONDITION, MY MEDICAL TREATMENT AND PROMPTLY DENYING ME MEDICAL TREATMENT RIGHT IN FRONT OF OTHER PATIENTS THAT ARE TOTAL STRANGERS TO ME. After two minutes , I left as I could NOT understand her English and she was not making any sense. I promptly filed a written complaint U.F. administration. Currently, they are attempting to placate very serious violations of federal and state laws. Needless to say, I'm forced to change healthcare providers - but I will not tolerate their violating my rights to such an insidious degree. So, consider...
