Wizards Video Games — Local services in Gainesville

I used to be a regular here, the employees even gave me a nickname, "caveman". I would buy and sell games here every week but one week I decided to be dumb and sell all my rare gamecube games. I got about $20 or $30 for all of my games windwaker, sunshine, Zelda the complete collection, etc. When I came back to the store a few days later I saw all my games they gave me pennies for in the glass cases for crazy prices from $80 to $120 each and even though I said nothing about it and I was looking around to shop the friendly employees/owner that I always talked to said I was banned from the store. I never did anything wrong and I always gave them my business so I can only assume it's because they didn't want me talking about how they screwed me over in their store. They told me what I had wasnt worth much and within the same week put all my games up for insane prices. This happened a few years ago but please beware, these guys seem all nice but they'll screw you over if they get a chance. Edit: I did ask why i was being banned and the employee said he didn't know and that the owner just didn't want me in the store anymore or something along those lines. I know they had talked about a robbery in the store about a week before that with some gamecube games so he probably thought I did it but I had nothing to do with it. It sucked because I thought...

I've been in here a couple times, i have never lived in an area with a local game store before so this is a first. I will start off by saying that games i find on the shelves here are much cheaper than game stop or around the same price. I picked up a play station slim they had as well as traded my old fat one in and picked up a copy of Mario kart for the game cube, one of the guys working also fixed a copy of Pokemon ruby i had (the battery had run dry) for 5$, that is very cool that they offer repair services. I've also picked up controllers, memory cards and many games for various systems like game cube, dream cast, psp and others at this place as well as trade ins. They have a lot of great games and things to choose from and some interesting hard to find things too and the decor is great as well. Not sure who owns the store but the guys here seem to be pretty knowledgeable and good at answering any questions, i love this store and I've been collecting games and consoles for maybe a year or so now so i will probably be coming here instead of game stop for all...

Josh and His Team Are Great!! I've been Buying from their local store for years, recently I purchased an older Xbox One on TRADE and when I got home restored the system and tried updating it multiple times but to each try I failed. I even went as far as getting a Hotspot to see if that was an issue. Instead of Calling them and asking for a return, I held on to the system for a few days and continued working on it, but still no luck. Finally I called the store and spoke to Josh about the situation and they were extremely helpful in a return and putting me onto another system and I couldn't be more thankful for the results. Even During the Holiday Season, They Know How To Work. Very Professional. I got an Xbox one X and it is Flawless and Fast needless to say I will continue my purchases with Wizards and the team and if you have any Video Game or Comic Book or Retro Needs I HIGHLY recommend them and not to mention very fair pricing aswell!
