I bought a necklace on line through KAYS online ordering on Dec 20 2019 and KAYS said you will receive your item Christmas Eve in time for Christmas no worries. I’ve had some issues with my hip and decided to order online because it’s hard to move around. I’m going to have my a total hip replacement in February. I shop at KAYS in Galesburg IL just about every Christmas to purchase jewelry for my wife. Always a great experience at the store. Well my order didn’t make it Christmas Eve for Christmas WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. When I went to try and track it I couldn’t get any info.On Friday I finally get a notice saying your order will be there Dec 30th. No I’m sorry nothing. I call and ask for compensation ( which I normally don’t) but I was very upset it didn’t get delivered what KAYS promised. They offered 15% refund oooooo most of that is tax.i said no. They as me and Zi said 50% Oh no they can’t do that They went to 20% and said how sorry they were but that’s the best they can do. What a joke. Then i said no just cancel my order and I’ll going in and get it at the store. Their response we can’t do that but you can return it up to 60 days for a refund and have a nice day. I was dismissed. I wasn’t offered any packaging to send it back like a lot of companies do online No nothing They wanted to be done with me. Then we were disconnected I though hmmm About an hour later I got an email saying how sorry KAYS were for my inconvenience and that I would get 10% off my next order. Very UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE. As much a I like the Galesburg KAYS after being treated like this I’ll go give Zales a try they are closer to me anyway. Read moreI went into kays to order a boxchain,my previous one broke. Jared helped me order a chain. When it came in it was too thin. Jared took my old chain and matched it to the book. He returned my item and helped me order a new one. I was disappointed when I came in to get it and it was the exact same millimeter as the first one I ordered, it was not the one I ordered. I was very impressed how Jared went into problem solving mode and found me a necklace from another store and called and asked for it to be sent to his store. To be honest I have not been the happiest the last couple times I tried to purchase items in the last two years at kays. Jared showed how much he cared and wanted to help me. The chain came in that he ordered and it fit! He has changed my mind and showed kays can have great customer service. Read moreI would give it no stars if I could. My father went there and bought over $3,000 worth of jewelry one night while he was on a trip. When he left the store they forgot to give him a pair of earrings. They met him and gave him the missing pair of earrings. Mistake #1 was fixed. Fast forward to family Christmas. The earrings are a cuff design so one for the right ear and one for the left. WELL, this set had two right ear earrings. We live out of the state. We called and called this store to get them to fix their over $500 mistake and they never answered. We called over 4 times during business hours. After calling many Kay stores in different locations, we finally we called a Kay that would help us fix the SECOUND mistake. Save your money and time.
