Update: The USCellular internet service WORKS! I just got off the phone from canceling viasat/exede. I'm thrilled!! I'm gonna send these folks a cookie platter or something!
We were helped immediately by Thomas. We came in worried we'd have to replace my daughter's phone, but he checked it out & found it was my old auto adapter causing the problem, instead of the USB port on her phone.
He first helped us replace that, then went on to thoroughly address my questions about the new home internet option that has recently become available where we live. We're in a very rural location & have been trapped with a horrid provider.
Super pleased with our experience & THRILLED at the prospect of being able to dump the unreliable satellite service we've been stuck with for 15 years or so. It's the first time I'm actually looking forward to calling Exede customer service. Not only will I never again be forced to endure 1-2 hour calls that never solve anything, but we'll also be saving about $45 every month by switching to USCellular's plan.

Read moreThis afternoon I dropped and cracked my phone screen. I dreaded going to the galesburg location to get a new phone. My last visit at the galesburg store 2.5 years ago was not pleasant to say the least. However, tonight I was greeted immediately by Ray Jennings, the sales manager. He was so kind and informative about all of my options. He had a trainee (named Christian) tag team and they both went above and beyond to get a new phone for me. They were both extremely knowledgeable of the products and services they can offer. But above all that, they were both so kind. Read moreVery poor coverage area. Most places I have little or no internet or telephone connectivity. For months we have tries to work with tech support to solve the issues. Still no solution. I decided to switch to another carrier in hopes of getting better service elsewhere. Us cellular is somehow unable to release and unlock the phone (even though all of the bills are paid - I have the receipts). Multiple calls to us cellular have proven to be a scavenger hunt, as each rep asks for obscure info that requires me to look for it and call back. This is far past getting old.
