Gallatin Flower & Gift Shoppe — Local services in Gallatin

I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but this one gets me. My husband went in this store today to get flowers for his very sick grandmother. He has always preordered flowers by phone for a later day, therefore he was unaware that you couldn’t walk in a flower shop and just get a bouquet of flowers premade. He was alone and just wanted to brighten his grandmothers day. When he asked if they had any colorful premade flower arrangements for his grandmother the employee told him very rudely they did not. He didn’t offer to make him any or inform him of how they do things. So when my husband asked if there was a way he could have some made the employee very rudely told him there were other customers in front of him while throwing his hands up and acting frustrated for having to possibly do his job. I understand that he couldn’t drop what he was doing to cater to my husband, but he could’ve nicely told him they didn’t have any. I’m not sure if this man was the owner or just an employee but clearly he is in the wrong business. When people come in to get flowers sometimes it’s for very sad reasons and he should learn to be a little more compassionate to those already having a hard time or at the very least just...

I ordered an arrangement that totaled over $200. I specifically asked for all purple - or as much purple as possible, as this was for a 50th wedding anniversary. I also indicated that I would like the arrangement in something that looked "antique" like - not, just a glass vase. The attendant was wonderful and took down careful details. When the flowers were delivered, the arrangement was all PINK, and vased in a plain glass vase. I emailed Gallatin Flower and Gift asking why, if for some reason they didn't have purple or enough purple, no one called to indicate that, and ask for a different preference. I've heard nothing from them. I'm highly disappointed in follow through and in customer service. I posted my original review a year ago--I forgot my sister-in-law's birthday--and I was able to talk to the florist about the type of bouquet and the feelings that I was looking to convey. TWO HOURS LATER, my sister-in-law sent a picture this beautiful arrangements that was delivered to her work. I cannot give these folks enough love for their work and what they do. Run--do not walk--to the Gallatin Flower & Gift Shoppe for your next special event. Awesome experience.
