I have made several purchases at Big Sandy and was always less than pleased with my experiences and this time did not disappoint. The sales person is fantastic and offered me a military discount. That's great but why wasn't I told about this possibility $6K ago? My main concern is with inventory. I understand the pandemic and I am accounting for that, as I write this review. With that being said, everything that I order seems to never be in stock (even before the shut down), ever. I usually wait 2-3 months to receive my order. I would expect an item that is on your showroom floor, would be sitting in your warehouse, ready for the customer to have it delivered, in a timely manner. Like I said, I really like my sales person but I am not so sure that the manger there is quite as enthusiastic or willing to help a very good customer. I was in on Memorial Day, and as a retired disabled Veteran and teacher, I must make my dollar stretch. 2 weeks prior, I had an order for more than $600 (truly many, many times before in the last year or two) and there was a deal for the holiday. For the first time, it wasn't an "extreme value" so I would be eligible for $300 off my next item. Well, this was the first time I was offered the military discount so it made the item $899, vs the original price of $999, which is the amount one must spend on a single item to get the $300 off. So I must choose taking the Military discount (Memorial Day, after a large purchase 2 wees earlier) or paying full price to get the deal. I asked if the manager could do an exception to policy, since I am regular customer, and just made a large purchase. The manager said that the computer wouldn't allow it. I asked her to call someone at corporate (I probably asked 5 or 6 times before she even conceded to give me the number) to ask and she said that it wouldn't matter, they would say no to her. She suggested that I could try and call my self. I thought about it but was so irritated that she couldn't even look at me or get up from her seat to help me, that I just took the couch that was $200 less, without a sleeper, and was an "Extreme Value." I just feel that I have made these ladies so much money over the last year or so that I would be important enough to stand up for and make a phone call, just to check, in order to make me feel like I mattered. I still believe that Big Sandy would have seen the value in a customer like me and helped me get the Memorial Day deal, with keeping my Military discount, because the original price met the requirement. (again, had never been told about that before and I ask for one EVERYWHERRE). I surely asked, but must have been told no, but I can't prove that. Bottom line, the ONE AND ONLY reason that I shop at Big Sandy is because I live in a very small town and it is the only place (besides Walmart) and the furniture is descent. I am a very good customer and an easy going person, who usually does not comment but this manager showed me such little respect. I mean, she would hardly look at me and really basically refused to ask her supervisors for assistance, and had me call. I decided to forget it and not call. I don't' know if I will come back after this last purchase,, There is actually more to the situation than that but I am so frustrated and I honestly know that nothing will come from my concerns. My suggestion is that if you don't want to work with the public or help customers, then jus get another job. Good luck to...
Read moreWe purchased a kitchen set a little over a year ago. The sales rep lead us to believe that we could do partial payments without having to go through acceptance now. That was a lie. Then when we pay off the set, they were suppose to send us a $500 gift card. We wait 60 days and call them. They said that it was ready to be picked up in store. So we travel 30min to this store to pick up the gift card and use it. We wait for 20 minutes for someone to approach us. When he finally does, it is the same sales rep who sold us our kitchen set. We tell him we are looking at these air conditioners and comparing them. He says ok and that he will be right back. We wait for 10 minutes and decide to go up front to find him. The ladies at the front ask if they can assist us and we tell them yes we would like an air conditioner. They tel us that the only sales person who could help us, the one who said he would be right back, left for 10 min or so. Then they ask if we were the ones with the gift card. We say yes. They tell us that we cannot use the gift card that day and that we have to wait at least 2 business days to use it. We ask why. They said that's just how it is. So we leave. We go back yesterday, finally to get our air conditioner, and they tell us that the gift card could not be used for that. Which would have been fine, if they would've told us that the first day when they knew that's what we wanted. I do not recommend thus store unless you know what you want and do not use...

Update
We was told that the mattress we purchased for the price they have listed was listed wrong and it’s $600 more and if we want to keep the mattress, we have to go ahead and pay the $600 more or choose a different mattress
I’m sure others are in our same boat so I suggest they contact the Attorney General’s office like I will be doing today and report it
Update
They are sending the right mattress
Update
Got our new mattress didn’t get the free pillows that was supposed to come with it.
And never got the $100 gift card that he said he sent out for the inconvenience of them miss pricing. I reached back out to the same text and never heard back from him.
I would never shop at the Gallipolis one. I don’t know if this is something that they do with the bait and switch, but I’ll be reaching out to Attorney General‘s come Monday. Let them know how they run their business maybe we are not the only one that they do this bait and switch too. I’ll let the Attorney general investigate them.
And we should’ve been charged 1289 and we got charged 1499. I didn’t catch it until later, so I’d like my refund for the difference. It’s not our problem that they mispriced the mattress and I’m sure Attorney...
