The first time I went the store I was successful because I sought out an individual that obviosly has hardwared experience. I thougth this was going to be my go to hardware store. However, yesterday that all changed. I called the store asking if they carried a structual peiece of hardware by Simpson. It is for tying two boards together called a tie. The young man I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about and began scrolling through his handheld suggesting electrical tie wraps. Since he was clearly confunsed I said, "Honey, maybe you could get someone who has more background in construction to help me." Before I could say another word he went off on me declaring that I was insulting him. Then he went on to state he the most knowledgable person in that store regarding construction and then hung up on me. I have years of reatial experience in hunting stores selling firearms. I just moved to the rural area and the closest Ace is at Galt, so I had been in there to pick up items here and there, the associates working there are helpful.I went in today at 5:06 and there was a worker holding the door open for customers and I walked up to the door, she immediately yelled at me “ we are closed “ I checked their hours and it said 6:30.. I walked back to the door and asked them to be nice to customers if they are closing an hour and half early. We as the customers are not psychic and so if we spent 15 mins one way driving to your store and you want to close earlier than normal hours than you need to be kind and not yell at them like they are little kids or that we had done something wrong..
