Hunan House Mongolian BBQ & Bar — Restaurant in Galt

I had booked table for 30 people for a birthday party. I have been a customer at this restaurant for about 10 years now but probably had the worst experience today. The taste for the food had drastically changed, from very good to bad. This time the service was horrible. They didn't even give us a chance to order to go. I had relatives who wanted to order a to go but apparently the chef didn't want to cook because he said it was 9 and the kitchen was closed when it was actually 8:30. So basically he didn't want to cook. The fact that they closed the kitchen without asking diners that are still in the restaurant is ridiculous. The servers were horrible and went on arguing with us. They forgot to place our order and blamed us for it. Honestly Hunan House was my favorite restaurant for Chinese food but the experience that I had this time has definitely changed my mind. Now I will be having second thoughts about going to the restaurant and will definitely not recommend it to anyone. I request the owner to speak to the staff about...

Been here twice now with no problems. Having ordered both Mongolian and Chinese, the food portions have been perfect and great tasting.

Some people complain on here that the servers aren't attentive or friendly; I'm not to sure about them but my family goes there for delicious food, not to make new friends ((pretty sure there are meetup groups for that)).

However, I will agree that they do need to do a slightly better job on keeping drinks refilled or at least get a fountain that allows guests to refill their own drinks.

In regards to them not being friendly...I haven't had that issue. The staff at Hunan haven't been rude or unfriendly in either of our visits.

We will definitely be back.

*P.S., you can always pay a little more and get the all you can eat Mongolian buffet...then you wont have to worry about food falling to the floor.

Me and my family went there for my brother‘s birthday 3/30 and at the end they handed me my check, but then I wasn’t ready to pay it because I was deciding on getting an alcoholic beverage or not and it took me five times to tell I’m guessing either the manager or owner I wasn’t ready yet.
