Such a fun winery down in Garden City! Huge space - plenty of comfy indoor and outdoor seating. Huge variety on the wine list: bubbles, whites and reds (from light to bold) - they have something for everyone. I love how they are making wine fun and approachable for everyone. They source grapes from Idaho and a few other places. They are doing a lot of fun things on the production side from traditional oak barrels to clay amphora to sandstone and concrete. Highly recommend stopping here for a tasting or a drink or buying a couple bottles or cases 🍷 they also have wine in cans for enjoying outside 🚣🏼‍♀️🌊🏖️

I consider split rail to be the best Idaho winery. Wines are made with grapes from Washington and The Snake River Valley, and Jed the winemakers style is very unique. Wines made in giant barrels and amphoras and ceramic eggs, and different styles like Petillant Naturel, in addition to traditional wines. He makes crazy concoctions and huge reds! A must visit winery!

Brian was very knowledgeable and friendly. We tried the flight and knock off one flight price when buy 2 bottles of wine. We liked the syrah dry rose from 5 we sampled best. The bottle of wine cost $20 per bottle.

The absolute worst customer service we’ve ever experienced. We were a large crowd. We called ahead numerous days in advance so they’d be prepared. Upon arrival she told us we were only allowed in the private area so they could “coral” us. They were not ready at all. They then said they would not serve us in the private area and would only serve us at the bar so we were forced back out of the private area. They have no idea how to interact with social humans. Zero playful attitude what-so-ever. One person in the party did find interest in one server’s very long nails and asked questions as to how she navigates life with her nails. She was immediately offended. She did state she struggles to pick up papers from a flat surface so he asked how she handles toilet paper. She stomped off and told her peer. Both her and her peer immediately assumed he was asking about using the restroom however his question was general. He was asked to leave. It was very clear they have no ability to handle the growth of the valley and the diversity it brings. It appears the employees discriminate and only prefer to serve a...

We stopped in at Split Rail Winery last week at the behest of my oenophile brother. Tasted several of their wines, including some very unique offerings. We were served by Keagan, who was absolutely fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable--and obviously passionate about her work--she took great care to explain each of the wines we tasted, as well as provide information on the wine-making operations at Split Rail. Even though we could not sample it due to very limited supplies, Keagan's description of The Dictator piqued our interest. While we started our visit with some skepticism, we quickly became believers--and Dictator Club members. Keagan was right about the 2017 Dictator, it was excellent. We are so happy we purchased the few remaining bottles of their 2017 stock, along with three of the 2018 blend. Highly recommend giving Split Rail Winery a try the next time you're driving by. You won't be...

Ooooof. This experience was rough. Went tasting on Saturday when they opened (there was 2 people in there when our party of 6 arrived). We did the taster for $20/person. The service was atrocious. Sat waiting for second tasting for 20 minutes, where I had to ask them if we were responsible for telling if we were finished (I have no idea how this kind of tasting works) and the girl working there gave me eye roll with attitude. Our server then switched to someone else who was also rude. For example, my grandma is hard of hearing and asked where they sourced the grapes from. The waiter replied with the most condescending "Like I said before." I looked at my sister with wide eyes surprised by the amount of attitude towards an 83 year old grandma. I've been in the restaurant industry for many years and have had my bad days, but I wouldn't treat customers like they did us. I would not...
