I visited the store in Garner, NC. The layout was pretty much the same. It was clean, well organized, but something stood out, the parking lot was crowded, people were everywhere, going in and out shopping. Some patrons wore mask, I did, and others didn't. All registers were jamming, meaning patrons were checking out. The associate that checked me out was early 20s, happy and welcoming. She made the effort to bag my groceries and the put them in my basket, rather then just sit them on the balance for me to grap. I appreciated that extra effort. It was at that point, that I decided that I would be shopping here again. If you're in this area, put a MARK this place to shop. Also, follow me as I crisscross between VA and NC. I'm a native of NC, born n raised in Louisburg. Family all over the place. Anyway, I'll come. Maybe...

The store was packed, lines were going down the aisles, etc. I was approaching the registers when the announcement came in that register 3 would open to help alleviate the lines. I was there for at least five minutes when the cashier decdied that she was no longer open and asked me to find another lane because she āhas to go back to customer serviceā which is ironic considering how rude it was for you to expect me to go to the other cashier lines that were now double the size they were when I walked up to the registers. And should I remind you that this lane JUST OPENED to help with the long lines? Terrible customer experience. I was in disbelief at how poorly I was treated by the so-called customer service...

The cashier flat-out lied to me because she was too lazy to ring up the stamps, she does not deserve to have a job period in my opinion. If I were that store manager my Customers would not be subjected to such treatment by Company employees, just goes to show what Food Lion thinks of its Customers. This was at the store located at TimberDrive East & Highway 50 intersection. It will make me think twice or three times before I go back and give them any more business. This particular cashier was more interested in texting than working, I'd terminate her, then she could text...
