Great selection of women's clothing but I wish they had more women's boots! No store could have enough women's items when 75% of the store is dedicated to men's boots and other items. This is something very common in "boot stores" though so I am used to it. I hate to order boots online or drive to a larger city to buy when I love to shop little and local. I also noticed the staff (might have been the owner) were not the most friendly people either. I felt like they were starring at me the whole time I was looking through the boots and clothing on the women's side. As I moved to the back where the clearance and kids boots were, she finally came to ask me if I needed help finding a size, which at that point, no I did not. I passed the girl working a few times through the store and she never said a word to me but she starred at me like there was a problem. My husband found a Texas Cattle Skull decoration and he bought it and we left. I have wanted to return to purchase some jeans but I still don't have a good feeling about the way I was treated or not tended to when I made my first visit. I would like to see this change when I do finally decide to return...

Great experience!!! I went in looking for a cowboy hat for a wedding that was TODAY !! Greeted by 3 really nice ,professional young ladies. Harley and her staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. They helped both my wife and I pick out cowboy hats and then we bought belts and a pair of shoes. Didn't expect to buy more than 1 hat. But when you have great staff, great selection of quality and reasonably priced items and a military discount to show support of our troops well then it was an easy decision. Beautiful and clean store. Easy parking. Harley even offered to try and order some special boots for me because of my previously broken foot that wont fit in regular cowboy boots. I just read the other reviews. I couldn't disagree more than with the poor selection in women's. I live south of Dallas but travel to Central Texas often. I always make it a point to stop at Leon River Mercantile. Because they have one of the best selections of boots. In Dallas you find the same boring boots at every store. The only unique or high end boots they sell are typically Old Gringo. At Leon River you find so many brands and styles that are hard to come by. I can tell whomever does the ordering is a...
