Every HEB should have a Gary. This kind gentleman went over and beyond customer service 👏. My husband and I stopped off for a refreshing drink during a trip to Conroe. We couldn't find unsweetened tea at the registers' grab n go coolers. We stopped Gary who was already helping another customer and asked him for a location on unsweetened tea. He gladly went on a hunt for the beverage and was able to find the tea for us. He offered complimentary cups, but to no avail couldn't find anything in the break area. He went to his coffee station and dug around until he was able to retrieve 2 cups for us. Gary is a very personable individual and made sure that we were taken care of. They have always had good priced produce which is mostly fresh as it is sourced locally within the state. but their store band Texas license to carry holders from comfortably openly carrying in their stores. I understand this decision came down at the corporate level but it was still extremely politically motivated. Alienating half of their customers by denying them their right to self-defense so that they can make the other half of their customers "feel" more comfortable.
