I paid $200 for geek squad coverage and installations, first experience was for my durango. Brought in my own subwoofer. They blew it when installing and only offered to discount new items since it was unusable. They should have offered to atleast replace what THEY broke. Then I took in my Truck to get a backup camera put in. The person installing my backup camera said I was limited to what I could use because of my tail gate. This ended up being untrue, because the 2nd installer (who was phenomenal by the way), made the one I wanted, work with ease. Geeksquad has little to no communication with the installers because I always feel like I'm being upsold, when the installer says I need to purchase an item that geeksquad failed to mention I needed. Although the installers work with us to get the price low, and most of these issues are not on the installers themselves, but Geeksquad. 3rd vehicle. Our van. Replacing speakers with new ones. Had the issue again, had I not went inside and asked the installer what exactly was needed I would not have been able to make the appointment because those parts needed to be ordered. Luckily I double checked with him. Our first appointment with the van was canceled due to the installer being sick. However the appointment wasn't really canceled because the reservation was still active and had our whole family waiting outside of bestbuy for an hour only to be told we could not be seen. Zero communication between georgetowns manager, and us as customers. This was also our second attempt at getting these speakers done. The 3rd attempt was actually fulfilled by an installer at the Round Rock location, because we were sick of dealing with the Georgetown location with so many issues. For instance, when a customer tried to interrupt and take over my appointment, she was firm without negative undertones. For my issue she immediately knew a work around, implemented it and then showed me. If I wasn't retired, I would try to steal her away. Very impressive!!! They proceed to tell me I paid for the wrong service that they put me up for and I needed to come back in today. They handed my phone back to me with more damage and didn’t refund my charge. Came back today and told me they couldn’t do it today and to come back in the morning.
