Honestly, I will not be returning. I have never had my nails done professionally before so I didnāt know what was ānormalā.
I asked dipped nails with tips.
First the tech tried to talk me out of tips, I assume because they take longer.
The nail tech then used in e-file, but filed down my natural nail so much that it has left me with ring of fire indentations on all of my nails. The tech got too close to my skin with the file several times causing me pain, and breaking the skin on one finger. When I told the tech she was hurting me, she told me that I have very sensitive skin and dismissed me.
When she asked me what shape of nail I wanted, I inquired about round or almond shape. The tech quickly dismissed me again saying āsquare is betterā and proceeded to give me that shape without further explanation.
I wish I would have stood my ground and realized the damage she did was inflecting to my nails by over filing. Live and learn, but the experience has left me afraid to have my nails done ever again.
*Photo attached, is after 3 weeks of grow out, so ignore that aspect. But I think the dip itself wasnāt great either. I have never had my nails dipped before so you be the judge. Several nails were very thick around the cuticle, which is surprising given the amount of filing/damage done to my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe good: Cleanliness is amazing, staff is nice, lots of options. Price was 120 for gel on fingers and toes with design which they did well. First time visitors get 10% off and they donāt try to hide that which is great.
Not so good: However, 5 days in, my nails started lifting and now 8 days later, I canāt touch my hair without my nails pulling it out. Since Iām in healthcare, I have to remove this before going back to work which means I paid a fortune for a week of nails. Iāve had gel polish and usually this doesnāt happen until 3 weeks of having it on at the soonest, and when I called, they said I could have come in if it was within the first week, but otherwise, this happens.
I was upsold on gel for my toes with the promise of āat least 3 or 4 weeks of pretty toesā but thatās also somehow lifting (albeit slightly) which Iāve never had happen before with gel polish on my toes.
Keep in mind, I got married and was driving around AZ with family, seeing the Grand Canyon, etc, so no water exposure or soaking or dishes.
Not sure I can justify going back if they donāt last, but if you need nice designs for short term, would definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDid not love this place. The lady was aggressive and kept trying to push the upgrade when I kept saying, I didnāt want it, and then she tried to pretend like she didnāt understand what I was asking for even though I was pointing to the option I wanted. Then when I went to pay, I wanted to use some cash that I had to pay and then pay the rest on card and I explained that to the girl so when I handed her my cash, she decided to put $20 as a tip and then only use a small amount to actually go for the total of the service even though I specifically said that I wanted to use it to pay for the service, but she wanted to act like the math was wrong and hid the rest of the cash under the counter acting like I didnt hand her more than what she was showing me. It took me saying I wanted all my cash back for her to pull out the rest. She basically was deciding her own tip without even asking. Doesn't seem to be the most...
