Salad and Go — Restaurant in Gilbert

I am a longtime patron for salad and go and I had one of my best experiences at the val vista and Pecos location from Breanna. Typically I order a frozen lemonade for my kids to share and sometimes the machine is out (happens quite a bit, so I’m accustom to it) which is unfortunate. Usually the employee just tells me they’re out and “sorry” but not Breanna. She advised me to try coming back in 5 min which I did even though my kids were having a hard time waiting. We drove around and came back in line just to hear it’s still not ready. Preparing to break the news to already undernapped children, Breanna offered a complimentary lemonade. This had NEVER happened before and was surprising. I offered to pay but she said it’s totally fine. I told her it was extremely kind and I had never experienced this before. My children were ecstatic and so was I. She valued my time and offered something she didn’t have to just to say thank you. Her customer service will be the reason I come back to this location and brag to all my friends what this location did for me. I don’t expect free stuff or to have that happen, but the kindness and service was BEST I have had at salad and go. They found my receipt for me, expressed their deepest apologies for the mistake, and immediately sent me a gift card to redeem for my next purchases at Salad and Go. I am grateful for Sandy and the rest of the Salad and Go team for their help; their loyalty to their customers truly outshines the competition!

Original: They got everything wrong with my order. 1 buffalo chicken wrap, 1 chicken caprese salad. Came to $14. They put the wrong dressing in the food, wrong ingredients, forgot the proteins, served the salad/wrap warm; pretty much made sure they screwed everything up on our order that they could. They don’t even have a phone number to call for when stuff like this happens. They even made sure not to give me a receipt in my bag with my order so I couldn’t file a complaint with corporate. I've tried the food from this location twice and every time I've ended up getting food poisoning. I've been to other locations and never had an issue before visiting the location on Val Vista & Pacos. The first time I ordered a salad and soup. I thought it was the soup that caused my food poisoning the first time visiting cause it had been sitting out all day and I had ordered my food in the evening, plus it was my first time trying their soup. So I thought it was a one off circumstance.

The second time I ordered just a salad and decided to use my own dressing instead of the one included with the salad and again I ended up getting food poisoning. I will never eat at this location again and warn others to beware that this location's food can cause food poisoning and cause severe upset stomach and digestive issues due to their food being contaminated.

This location has made me think twice before going to any Salad n Go...
