We had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! To those wondering why you don't see many negative reviews... with smaller pool companies, customers often wait until the warranty period ends before posting negative feedback. When a negative review is posted, the company may not handle warranty issues well.
In our experience, Pegasus lacked communication and failed to fulfill promises made upfront. They relied on canned sales pitches followed by canned excuses. Claims about their religious and military backgrounds were part of their sales pitch. They touted a client list filled with celebrities, politicians, and Vegas hotels, but in reality, they will treat you like a dollar sign after contract signing and leave you with a problematic terrible product. They hired cheap subcontractors, prioritizing profits over quality. If you don't supervise their work (since Pegasus won't), you'll be left with subpar results.
YOU WILL BECOME THE PROJECT MANAGER WITHOUT THE COMMISSION!
Pegasus treated us well until construction began, then things changed. We initially worked with Mr. Caldwell, the owner, but after numerous complaints, we dealt with Kane Adkins, a “project manager”, because Mr. Caldwell failed to show up when promised or respond to calls. Pegasus lacked quality control, making excuses instead. Subcontractors behaved poorly, leaving our property in disarray, trash everywhere, and their work was substandard. Pegasus would not respond to obvious quality concerns, instead sent more subs to continue without fixes completed.
Midway through construction, Kane demanded a scheduled payment. Prior to payment, we insisted on written agreements to replace verbal corrections/repairs. Kane then became very confrontational.
Mr. Caldwell even attempted to deceive us by substituting a no-name pool surface product after selling us on the premium Pebble-Tec brand we paid for.
Among the issues we faced: a missing and then improperly installed skimmer, plumbing issues due to a worker's apparent drug use onsite, misaligned bubblers with lights, incorrect water features, poor workmanship, and neglected installations. Pegasus failed to honor agreements for automated systems and miscalculated water flow, tried to substitute loud pumps and makeshift solutions. They damaged our neighbor's yard and used our landscape materials to cover it up.
Years later, we discovered we were in fact deceived by the Scabos Mosaic Natural Stone we paid extra for had an artificially colored face, uncleanable without color removal. They did not install the natural stone we paid the premium for around our spa and water features. Despite notifying Pegasus, they...
Read moreMid 2020 my family decided we wanted to install a pool in our backyard. It seems like every homeowner had the same idea, out of the 7 companies I reached out to only 3 responded in timely a timely manner. Right from the moment I first started talking to Bill I knew he was serious about earning our business. He took a lot of time talking to me about what we wanted in the pool, how we intended to use it, how it will be situated in our back yard etc… Out of the 3 companies that did give us plans, Bill's proposal was the only one that incorporated what we wanted. We made very few changes which mostly amounted to a bit wider, longer and deeper. We otherwise kept his original plan as it was really on-point.
Throughout the build process Bill kept me up to date on what was happening and what the next steps were. He was also clear about the timeline we should expect work to get done. If anything needed to be moved, he would let us know. If we had questions for him, he would respond in a timely manner and answer our questions.
The sub contractors he sent out were all top notch, I could see the care they were putting into their work. We have already been swimming numerous times, and had some close family over to enjoy it as well.
I highly recommend Bill and Pegasus Pools - I would use them again if I ever need another...
Read moreThey were super quick with every aspect of the build with the exception of their deck guy Alfredo. All steps of the pool build took about 3 months and alfredo took over 2 months to complete the deck. Alfredo and his crew rarely showed up when they said they would. Overall the pool came out looking great but I have had to call them up for repairs quite frequently. Loose travertine in multiple spots, which took alfredo and his crew quite awhile to repair. The vacuum had issues which Pentair promptly fixed. The autofill has yet to work properly, I've been speaking with the office manager Matthew for 7 months now who states they don't have any plumbers to fix the issue. They sent their pool start up guy out to look at the issue. He said he is not sure the issue, yet Matthew is telling me it's a high water pressure issue which is not their problem. Not sure how they came up with that conclusion when they have yet to send out a plumber. Also, I haven't brought this issue up yet but during the build there was a rain storm that rusted all the rebar and i asked if that would start to bleed through. I was told no it wont be an issue. Well lo and behold im swimming the other day and i notice two rust spots in the pebbletec. If you go with this company expect a beautiful pool but don't expect to get many of the inevitable issues...
