Target — Local services in Gilbert

I love target! But this location has one lady in particular who is very racist. Her name is LAURA and she works in the Customer Service Department for Returns and Exchanges. This would be my second time interacting with her and her attitude and demeanor has been very very unpleasant. I went to return some items which were apart of a particular policy. A lady by the name of Belle was helping me and Laura happened to cut her off and take over. She was so rude she made disgusting comments because she had to return my items which I had the receipt for on my target wallet showing the barcode. She told me that she didn’t have to honor the particular policy and that I should shop somewhere else. She also stated that target was losing money and she is not here to pay for my children’s clothes. I let her know that this was the second time I made an exchange at this location and that she was rude to me while my children were around she made very uncomfortable. I let her know I don’t have any other issue when I shop at other target locations and do an exchange with my credit debit or target wallet. She then stated that maybe I should go somewhere else then. I don’t understand why she is always so rude and allowed to treat customers this way. This is unacceptable. I then stopped the transaction and asked her to stop helping me and please call a manager. She refused to and began saying no I’m helping you. I said mam I no longer feel comfortable with you servicing me please stop and call your manager. She didn’t call a manager she called a lady name Katie who was a floor lead. I explained to her my situation and she heard me and sympathize with me and apologized on Laura’s behalf for her unpleasant customer service. I heard Michelle was a manager so I will be writing corporate and calling to speak to a higher authority about this. This is not customer service and this is not how you treat customers who have the right to exchange or return items as long as it follows the guidelines. Which all of mines did. Walked in twice about 8am in the store, right when they open. As I walk in with my mom, there is this elder, Caucasian man that stands at the front of the store to greet customers who walk in. As I walk in, he looks at me, for more than about 2 seconds, looks at my mom and looks back at me. Looks at me like I’m an alien, doesn’t greet us or say anything just stays quiet. While I’m walking, I can hear him greet and talk to the customers who come in. Second time I come into this store, around the same time right when they open, 8am he is at the front of the store again, looks at me and my mom, doesn’t say anything, not even a decent “hello” I guess that’s hard to say huh? We just walk by, and as my mom is grabbing the cart, he greets and chats with this lady behind us and other people coming in. That threw me off, and made me confused. Not sure what the problem is, or if there’s even a problem but if you are going to hire people at this location, make sure they can greet ALL customers who walk in, not pick and choose who you want to greet. Mind you I am Asian, I ain’t white, so not sure if that’s the issue. Very...

My daughter and I just left this store and we will never be back. We entered the store, not anticipating needing a cart; but we saw some pants we liked and began checking them out. Just as I turned around to say to my daughter, can you go get us a cart, a store associate was standing right behind us watching us, watching us like we are thieves. So I purposely remained 4 ft away from her holding the pants that I had chosen and even spoke to the associate, but she rudely did not reply and awkwardly walked away after a minute of just touching items but doing nothing more than continuing to monitor me.

Then, after we got the cart and went to the fitting rooms for my daughter to try on her jacket that she selected in public view, 2 men who looked like asset protection officers came back there as we were heading to check out.

I understand they have to be watchful because people do steal. But I could see them watching us and no one else was being treated like this in our vacinity. I felt absolutely insulted and targeted and I will never come back to...
