Went to pick up an item i saw featured on channel 3 news on Saturday. Zilch customer service. I had to interrupt an employee who was engaged in a lengthy conversation with a customer whom she apparently knew. Finally, the customer who was talking to her asked me if I needed her. Really? She gruffly told me where she thought I should look, as though I had dared interrupt her. I went to that area, couldn't find them, but saw two male employees talking. I approached them, asked where I might find the item, and he said, "see that guy? He will know." That "guy" was clear across the store. I then saw two other employees, one was texting on her phone, and so I asked the other girl where I might find the item. Again, I explained that this was an item featured on the news, and she told me that " maybe they were available online " I told her that I saw the newscaster at the store, so they must be at the store. She looked at me like I had two heads. Left the store. Went a couple of miles down the street to Lowe's. Though i didn't find the product there, I was greeted by TWO employees as I entered their garden area. I then was asked by another Lowe's employee if there was something they could help me find. They walked me to an area where I might find them. Here's the kicker, I was not only looking for a special something for my mom in law, but my husband and I are looking to replace four rooms of carpeting in our home, and was going to look at carpeting after buying my little item . Since Home Depot couldn't be bothered to help me with my "little "purchase , I will not be bothered to give them my business, but instead, will honor...
Read moreI highly recommend avoiding using Home Depot for carpeting (and by extention Western Flooring whom they use to actually do the install). My experience went something like this... HD tech measured incorrectly, missed my whole hallway, and took poor photos Scheduled the install, then was told they can't install carpet on wood stairs, had to escalate to have them agree to do it Was overcharged for Flooring removal (there was none) and pressured into the expediting fee only to have the whole process take A MONTH, not a week as promised, and when issued a refund, was called by HD again to return part of my refund because I kept getting different figures for everything, even though I checked with the cashier AND Flooring people that all was paid for and good when I got my refund. Finally came to install, then was told my stairs couldn't be done until I added a side lip to my bottom 5 stairs, which should have been FORESEEN. When they finally came back out to do my stairs, they refused to to my hallway for another ridiculous, FORESEEN issue that actually didn't need to be an issue, but they had to send out a different guy on a different day to do it All in all, dozens of phone calls, managers, horrid communication between Home Depot and Western Flooring, delays, TWO measurement appointments and THREE separate installs, sales pressure, overcharging, and then telling me to return my refund. Stepping on several carpet nails after all this has just been the cherry on top. Worst...

We purchased a LG refrigerator with the Home Depot protection plan 2 years ago. A few weeks ago, we came home from a weekend trip and found our refrigerator not working. All of our food was rotten, freezer food melted and disgusting goo was seeping out of the bottom. We lost everything!
The moment I started calling to resolve the issue, I knew this was going to be a problem. The Home Depot protection plan is a joke. It took 2.5 hours to reach a live agent. Another hour arguing with the foreign agent that my refrigerator did not need to run a 24 hour manual defrost… it was dead! But that didn’t matter, so I did as they said and called back the next day.
In the meantime, we tried to clean the wretched smell and slime the food had created.
Home Depot eventually gave me a scheduled time for an LG tech to come out. (Which was a lie and I had to call LG for a service). He replaced the compressor, but couldn’t clean the fridge and would not include that in the report. We fought Home Depot for 2 weeks explaining that this fridge is potentially a biohazard and not useable, even if it was working. They acted like they were going to help us out until they called yesterday and said there is nothing they can do. I cannot express how bad their customer service was (and LG was even worse)! We did put in a claim for lost food ($300 is max, you pay $195 for the plan… so they essentially give you $100 for the $700...
