I purchased a mattress from here on a Saturday and was told it would be available for me to pick up on Tuesday after they got it from their warehouse (they wanted to charge me $59 for delivery when I live only 15 minutes away). I called them Tuesday afternoon to verify that they had my mattress in and it turned out that the cashier I originally paid on Saturday had ordered the wrong mattress and I would have to wait an additional 3-7 days for them to pick up the correct one.
Normally this is the kind of mistake I can brush aside and get over the fact I have to wait a little longer, but the customer service lady I spoke to was so aggressive and rude about the whole thing that it infuriated me to the point that I am here writing this review. She first tried to tell me I was being unreasonable to expect them to have it in 3 days for me to pick up to begin with, and then proceeded to tell me it was my fault that the wrong mattress was ordered because I was also interested in another model (the wrong model that they ended up ordering), despite the fact that I made very clear several times to the cashier during the original purchase which mattress I wanted.
After a series of progressively ruder and more defensive insults from the customer service lady I spoke to, she finally called the owner or some manager, who said that they could have the correct mattress available to pick up the following day. I said this wouldn't work because I wouldn't be available to pick it up for several more days. At no point did they offer me free delivery to make up for their mistake and in general seemed much more concerned about maximizing their profit margin than ensuring that the mistake was fixed in the most satisfactory manner.
The one upside to this place is that their prices or cheap, but in retrospect I wish I had gone somewhere else and paid a little more for professional quality service. I would have gladly traded the amount of time and frustration I spent dealing with this place for the added price of purchasing a comparable mattress from another store.
*Update: I added a star because the owner personally called me and made things right by giving me free delivery as soon as they had the mattress and included a free memory foam pillow, as well as a sincere apology for the rude behavior and mistakes from his staff. If you have any trouble with the floor staff try to speak with the owner because he can and will do what's needed to make sure...
Read moreWe've had poor luck with name-brand, big box store mattresses. Our last one was a latex mattress (Sealy) that was very expensive. After 5 years, it was like sleeping in a hammock and Sealy would not warranty it because the place of purchase changed owners. Instead of fighting them, we went shopping for a new mattress and looked at everything in the name-brand stores. The quality was lacking, same lousy fillers, foams, and warranties are not worth the paper they are written on so we researched alternatives. With our continual quest to find a quality mattress, we looked into having one made. We ended up finding something even better, Mattress Warehouse. They build them in-house and use high quality materials. We ended up buying the model 8020, which is their upper end inner-spring mattress. This mattress is truly amazing. We find it very comfortable and extremely well-made. What a great night's sleep - finally! Deanna was our Sales person and was very patient with us. We did lots of research before this purchase so we also talked with Greg regarding materials, construction, and of course, warranty coverage. Greg, the owner, does indeed stand behind their warranties. After talking with Greg, we knew for certain that this was the place to purchase our new mattress. We are not sure how many will see this review? Hopefully we can save others from purchasing a mediocre mattress from those big label companies. Those fancy names are pretty much junk. Mattress Warehouse IS where you need to purchase your mattress. Money doesn't grow on trees so spend it wisely and buy something of quality. There will be no regrets! Thanks Mattress Warehouse for being there
Update: I was badly injured and my Back was broken. I basically had to lay in bed for 6 weeks. I got pretty sore being in bed so long but my Doctor was amazed how well I did. I told him about my excellent mattress. He said he was going to pay...
Read moreCan't recommend this place enough. Devin was awesome and it was the easiest mattress buying experience ever. The price was amazing, and the bed is perfect for what we need. He was super friendly and helpful, and gave us a tour of the back where they make their mattresses. It was so cool to see the process & know they make your mattress right there. I'm perhaps even more excited to come back and have a mattress made for our vintage camper. Right now we've been sleeping on my DIY pile of foam and it's not supportive at all..so I can't wait to have a custom fit mattress made. I've already recommended a bunch of people here who are also looking for mattresses. Awesome people, great company, great prices..can't go wrong and I'm happy to support! The outstanding reviews speak for themselves..support local especially now after hard pandemic stress on businesses and in an age when we all click to cart on Amazon or opt for beds in a box. This place has everything you could possibly need, at a variety of price ranges...seriously, Devin began the tour of mattresses starting with a king that was less than $300!! He wanted to start there in case of budget and we worked our way up based on our needs. Other big name stores start you at their highest $5k mattress and you kind of have to awkwardly move your way through the store weighing out quality vs cost. I have great respect for businesses that keep their prices accessible for ALL, because it's no secret mattresses are expensive, and for them to have such a fairly priced mattress like that helps people at a way higher percentage than the small profit they're...
