I had the most unbelievable experience at this Burger King on Thursday night. My husband and I went to this BK instead of the one we usually go to in Annapolis which ROCKS!! because the power had been out in Annapolis and parts of Severna Park where we live so we headed north hoping to find power. We arrived at 9:10. The doors were locked, drive thru was empty. We entered it anyway in hopes that maybe they were still open. After sitting there for a minute or two saying hello hello, someone finally asked if they could take our order. We ordered sandwiches and 2 large fries and asked for fresh fries since there wasn't anyone in line. The lady taking our order had to go and ask if we could have fresh fries. They told us to pull up to the first window to pay. It smelled very strongly of weed the moment the employee opened the window but I digress. After paying he asked us to wait there which was very weird because there were all sorts of things being stored at that window and it was nowhere near where food was being cooked. A couple minutes later someone opened the second window and waved us up. Again weird. A lady gave us our food. When we asked for salt, pepper and some additional ketchup, she gave us two salts, no pepper, and asked us if there was ketchup in the bag, and how many. I told her 3. She begrudgingly gave us 3 more. We asked again for more ketchup and she handed us two after asking her manager if she was allowed to give us more. Come to find out they have a 3 ketchup limit policy at that BK. Presumably they are loosing money like a sinking ship (likely due to a lack of biz) and that's one way they are trying to cut costs. In the end, the manager came to the window and basically said we could not have any more ketchup. We were maxed out apparently. I asked for a refund to which he promptly made me drive around and come inside to get. We just weren't going to argue over ketchup. In the end, rather than just give us a few extra ketchups so we could enjoy our food and come back happy customers, he chose to take the road less traveled. I returned the food, got my money back, and he had to throw the food away anyway so it was a total loss for that BK all around. And we ended up at Five Guys where we should have gone all along. Had an amazing dinner, and great service even despite the fact that we walked in 10 minutes before they closed. Why? Because they're that damn good. My advise, skip this BK altogether. It's so not worth your time or trouble. Go to a different one or Five...
Read moreCame here just the other day to get lunch for my 3 daughters and myself. I tried to order the family deal for $12.99 with the BK App, but I just kept getting a message saying it could not connect to the restaurant. I tried a few times with the same outcome. I was just down the street so I drove there to just place the order in the drive-thru and let them know there were issues with their location and the app so they could do whatever to fix it and not have other customers experience the same problem. When it was my turn in the drive-thru I was told by the employee she could not give me that deal because I didn’t have a coupon number from the app. I explained to her I couldn’t get the number because the app wasn’t connecting to their restaurant. She replied with, “I don’t know what to tell you, but I can’t give you the deal.” I asked to speak to a manager at the window and was created by one when I pulled forward. The manager proceeded to tell me the same thing and suggested I call the number associated with the app to fix it. Wait...I should fix it?!?! It’s not my responsibility to fix their app issues. I asked her if she could honor the coupon by simply ringing me up for this price and she just said, “No.”
What kind of customer service is that?! You are not willing to override the price on your register to make a customer happy who is trying to go through your app. You are going to make the customer resolve your restaurant/app issues when it’s not their responsibility. And instead of apologizing for the inconvenience (which I never got), you are just going to say, “No, I won’t do that.” What kind of customer...
Read morePlaced an order at the drive thru for 4meals which I had to repeat 3 times, I figured telling them 2 double whopper meals large and 2 double whopper meals medium wouldn't be that confusing but I guess I was wrong. I pulled up to pay at the first window and the lady took my card and handed it back and quickly shut the window so I had to raise my voice to ask for a receipt which she glared at me with disgust like I was asking too much of her. As I'm pulling to the next window I check my receipt and noticed they only had 3meals on it so I get to the window and tell the male worker that I ordered 4meals and was only rung up for 3 and asked if he could ring up the other meal to which he rudely told me "you gotta come inside and order" he then hands me a bag containing part of the order and tells me to go park. I said well if I have to wait you can ring up the extra order and he got an attitude and again told me "you gotta go inside or drive back around". I most certainly did not pull up and park and waited for my one sandwich. Honestly I felt like handing him back the bag of food and getting my money back but that request would have been met with attitude and laziness as well. This location has gone downhill in the past few years not only with unpleasant worker but as far as the food as well, I won't be returning to this...
