Update for this place... absolutely going downhill. A year ago I came in and got a fantastic haircut. I was thrown off a little by the $35 price but I figured it was justified since they give you a whole service like washing your hair and a hot towel on your face. Fast forward to today. Erika has messed my hair up 3 times now. The first two times she fixed it when I brought it up but always tried playing it off. This time she messed it up and when I brought it to her attention she said nothing was wrong. Basically told me i was wrong and seeing things.Those aren’t her words but y’all get it. Also, now a haircut is $40 if you tip it’s even more. I won’t be back. I’m not paying $40+ for a haircut that might be messed up anyway. There’s a barbershop around the corner called punch that charges $17 for a haircut, and from what all my friends tell...

Have you ever gotten your hair done and asked your stylist where they got their hair done? Well a lot of times they would say something like “the owner does it,” or “I don’t trust anybody so I do it myself.” Well being a former hairstylist myself I had a different answer to this question, when I would be asked where I get my hair done I would have an extremely witty answer. “I pay good money to look this good, I go to oak and steel 2 towns away to see Erika to do my hair because she’s the only person who has ever made me happy with my hair.” Coming from a hairstylist you know that it means something to recommend Erika. She’s the best, she’s super talented, she’s extremely funny, witty, charming, and down to earth. I won’t go anywhere else to get my haircut....

Oak & Steel is now my place to go for my beard detailing. The shop is clean, the staff is polite, friendly and make you feel welcome. For those of you worried about covid, they take all the precautions so you have nothing to worry about there. Ryan was my barber and he was awesome. He asked what I wanted, offered recommendations and explained why he was recommending based on what he seen and his experience. I couldn't more pleased in the overall experience.
