I have consistently shopped at this Target location for 3 years. I’ve had trouble with a few customer service associates in the past (nothing worth writing a review about) but today I had a terrible experience with Marianne at the guest services desk and I will be contacting her district manager as well as corporate. She should be retrained in the customer service department and how to properly treat/speak to guests.
I used the app this morning to order some things for order pick up. My fiancé is listed as an alternate pick up person on my app. It clearly shows his name on the Target email they sent letting us know the order was ready. We have never had a problem with him picking up orders before (he just did last week at the St Charles location). My fiancé went straight to guest services, allowed Marianne to scan the barcode from the app, and also handed her his ID. She refused to let him pick up the order because my name is primarily listed, but it clearly shows he is the alternative pick up person! She turned him away. He had to come to the car and I had to stop nursing my baby in the car to go pick up the order when in fact HE IS LISTED AS THE PICK UP PERSON. I found the email and of course it shows his name as the pick up person. So I had to stop feeding my baby to go inside and pick up the order even though he is allowed to. I walked straight up to her and asked her why my fiancé couldn’t pick it up. She was very condescending and rude towards me and quickly says that he is not listed and can’t pick it up. I let her scan the bar code and proceed to show her that yes he is allowed to because he’s listed as the pick up person. She wouldn’t even look at my email where it shows his name, she just loudly and rudely told me she can’t see it on her end and won’t look at my email because it’s doesn’t matter to her. She wouldn’t even look me in the eyes. She went and grabbed my order yet never asked me for my ID like she did my fiancé. So how would she have even double checked I’m the correct person? I took my order and had to get back to my baby but I turned around and came back in to ask what the managers name is. This is unacceptable and I think she needs some retraining before being able to work with customers again. This isn’t the first time she’s been rude to me in the past but this...
Read moreI am a frequent shopper every week. My favorite checkers weren't working today and I got a very rude checker with an attitude. I had paid most of my groceries with Target gift cards and told her I want to pay the balance of my purchase with my Debit card. She told me to put in my phone number when it clearly states you can use your code or phone number. She started arguing with me saying I couldn't use a code with my debit card when I've been doing it all the time. I told her she was confusing the credit card with the debit card and she snapped at me saying "you're the one whose confused." I told her I want to speak to a manager because she has an attitude and is being very rude. So she called a young manager who looked like about 18 yrs. old who then reprimanded me , saying there's no such thing as a 12 digit code. I never said there was, the code is only 4 digits. Apparently she told him I said 12 digits. It went through quite well with my 4 digit code. It seems like this location is going down hill and has drastically changed ever since they remodeled Targets. They also recently got a new store manager,, who needs to train his staff better. He was nice when I took out my Debit Card a couple months ago, but seems to have changed. The younger manager went up to him talking about me and they both just stared at me from a few registers away. The checker continued to be rude, by repeatedly apologizing to the lady behind me and looking at me, making me look like the bad guy. I reminded the lady that I did offer to let her ahead of me because she had less items, but they both continued to just laugh at me, when I did the right thing from the beginning. Needless to say, I won't get in her line again and will wait in a longer line if I have to and won't be shopping at Target as often when I can get 10% off my bill at Caputos instead of 5%. and their staff is very courteous. I will shop if I can't find something elsewhere and to get my prescriptions at CVS, who...
Read moreFirst off, they have totally unprofessional staff including the manager, some security guard wannabe, and the associate working at the return desk. They do not even know their own return policy (or they're misguided by management). We tried to return a PS4 that was bought as a christmas present on 1/14/19 and were told you are past the return window which ended on 12/28/19. We did not have the paper receipt with us at that time but had the digital one. We found the paper receipt a few days late on 1/19/20 and it said the item was eligible to return until 1/24/20. So we were already upset since the rep lied to us originally so when I came back I was a bit upset and told them they should know their own return policies instead of driving customers away and giving them incorrect information. It gets worse since it was bought at a different Target they told me every Target has a different return policy and it's not the same at every Target you go to. I didn't think these Targets were franchised or anything so I asked why this one would have different policies then the rest of the Targets and they stated they were allowed to deny returns on open electronics. No where on there premises do they state this and no where on their website does it state they can deny an electronic return if the product is open. I asked them to find me anything that stated they could not take the return on the so called policies they were talking about and they could not find it any where. The acting manager even spent 15 minutes while we waited to find something and could not. Our receipt clearly stated we had until 1/24/20 to return it regardless of being open. They did have some other products that stated they could not be returned open but video game consoles weren't a part of the list.
I highly recommend not giving your money to this place. I've just read a few other reviews from other customers who had the same...
