The Toy Box — Local services in Glendale

Upfront, I'm bias on this review because I met one of the owners years ago and we chat it up during most toy conventions when we can. This store is generally split with 2 owners, The Toy Box and Justice Comics. Justice comics has a nice collection of some premium popular trend releases. Some of the collection is rare, some are autographed. Its not a huge collection like Drawn to Comics or Ash Comics, but reletively cool with a few rare toy pieces and old packaged cards which i like to pick up when i can. Again, much of the collection are the hard to find comics, so its cool to check out. The Toy Box is the main reason i stop in. The owner is an avid set collector, so on some big popular brands, expect to buy the whole complete set/lot. Of course there are things available separately too. The Toy Box carries some of the best retro toys and items from the 70's (even earlier) to recent modern stuff. These toys can include some of the rarest stuff available from TMNT, Mask, MOTU, Wrestling, Battletech, Computer warriors, Star Wars, Exo Squad, Snailians, Battle Beasts, Transformers, GI joe, the list can go on and on. The owner doest just find and sell the common stuff, but this is the recommended place to look for the rare hard to find items. I wish there was a negative star review, because at this point I'd be sending Traves and "the Toy Box owner" probably one in the same person a negative -5 star review! Based completely on your lack of customer service, negative attitude and knowledge of your own products. I been in there 3 times and everytime you had a real bad attitude which I ignored because I'm awesome. I will elaborate those experiences in a future review. The store is great because of the products but products sell them-selves. But a person who don't want or wish to make a sale just will shy you away from this place and most definitely make the customer feel uncomfortable, and unwelcomed. Looking at the previous negative reviews I have read your replies which were all condescending. I will be expecting one as well, so please let me know how you could fix your total lack of professionalism in retail. Your welcome. P.S. thanks for the toys you said you didn't have. After walking around for 10 to 15 min I found a whole section that was dedicated to the toys I was looking for and of course I liked the product enough to buy, but just to experience that great customer service of yours. I am a huge wrestling collector and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle collector here in Arizona. I collect a bunch of vintage toy lines. This is one of the biggest toy stores in Arizona and they have always done me right and given me Great Deals. They have bought full collections from me. Buying my wrestling toy belt collection and my AEW collection. They do very fair trade ins and I actually got exactly what I was looking for. They were even willing to do a partial cash and trade for something I wanted in the store. The guy that works at the front is a really friendly guy and I always enjoy doing business with him. They are more than fair and one of the cleanest toy stores I've ever been to. Prices are negotiable if you think something is overpriced they will relook it up and go with the fair market Price and they are more than decent with trades. What I like about them and other toy stores can't do is they will buy your whole . 5 star customer service all around. If you're trying to move a full collection they are definitely the place to go.
