Nostalgia; it comes in many forms - for some it's food, for others it may be just a cartoon show you watched habitually, every Saturday morning. However, in this case, this company delivers on an entirely different scale. At first, my partner and I were skeptical, just because the date kept getting pushed back. This isn't meant as a passive-aggressive stab at the reliability, or the company's overall reputation. It was because this was just his first time purchasing a Star Wars sit-down arcade machine from Vintage Arcade Superstore. So, after an eight month's waiting period, we finally received it. The entire thing, though can be a bit of a hassle to physically get into the house (say if you do it by yourself like some of us did); it still maintains a very comprehensive assembly to it, broken down into different parts to move in and even to the wiring. The graphics of the game itself, the music, sound effects quality, along with the changeable LED lighting (should one be able to afford such an add-on), are just as addictive and fun to interact with. The individual remotes for this option, also arrive, thoughtfully packaged individually and come with fresh batteries inside of them. The controls are [objectively] reactive if not a bit more sensitive; the volume and subwoofer both can be controlled - (presumably appropriately) in where the coin bucket is located by the mere turning of a key delivered as well. This, though gargantuan piece of machinery, is not just another video game; it's quite frankly a work of art. The control panel has a very clear, precision-cut, securely fastened protective layer over the detailed stickers; ones that accurately simulate just a fraction of the cockpit of an X-Wing. The seat configuration, once you finally get to sit down, makes you want to put on your communication helmet and notify your squadron, "Red leader; standing by." If you're an adamant gamer with money saved up, and want the highest quality of staycations? If you are a collector/connoisseur of the old, SEGA based game system (if that is your chosen weapon of choice)? This gorgeous, immersive monstrosity of a home arcade, is your proverbially, finally captured,...

Read moreI absolutely love this business! Gene and his team are incredibly knowledgeable, quirky, fun to talk to and very helpful. I just finished restoring a Tron arcade game that was destroyed in a flood. Without Vintage Arcade, it would still be a pile of non functional parts and a warped and rotted cabinet. Gene helped me get the boards working, upgrade to a modern power supply and Sheri reconditioned my original monitor. In addition, his whole team took the time to help me with the process, giving sound advice. As a result my Tron lives again!...
