Definitely the worst luleh kabab I've ever had in my life in LA. Ordered Luleh plate but with 1 chicken and 1 beef, to taste both, chose from "Entree" menu not La Carte, that says you expect a plate of Armenian kabab typically coming with rice, tomato, paper, and stuff, but the waiter asked if we want rice with it too! Took half an hour to prepare the food, even though we mentioned we're at lunch time and should go back to work, also they're mentioned as a fast food "lunch" place in some websites. Finally the food comes, with only 2 short skews of luleh, rice, and a few rings of onion! no tomato\paper. Same with my colleague's shish kabab. The Kabab, if you could call it so, tasted anything but not chicken or beef, and like you're chewing truck tires, maybe the same taste, mostly uncooked inside but burned outside. I rarely leave the food unfinished, or if so, I take the remainder, but left half of each kababs with the rice untouched, and just left the restaurant without argument, already late for work. The waiter and the cashier also gave as different priced menus, the first one with higher prices! I see many 5 start ratings, and as an Armenian I get where they come from. This was my personal experience, maybe we were there in a wrong day! Looks like I should again rely on taco places for lunch in my walking distance. I'd like to give 2 star for waiters, since they were not rude at...
Read moreDo not come here. Some shady stuff is going on with the prices. The price you see on the menu will not be the same as what you'll get in the bill! A $70 bottle of wine turned into a $100 (and the excuse was "sorry, there was a mistake in price." although we confirmed before ordering that is was $70). Some items turned into 2 items and charged separately. Also, a mysterious "$50 mf" appears on the bill - servers didn't know what that was until someone finally came up with an idea and said it was "music fee". No one told us about that when we called and made a reservation, no one said anything when we got there. I would never pay $50 to whoever tried to sing there. It's a restaurant, people come to relax or celebrate an occasion not a funeral home. All songs were about sad life and getting old (if only he could sing that would made it a bit better....maybe). Food came cold, they brought wrong items multiple times and tried to tell us we were at fault. 5 people, 1 bottle of wine - $550 (no desserts). I will never go there again and will let everyone I know not to go there. If you are reading this review and considering this place, do...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience at this place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Do not waste your money and energy here! This place ruined my mom's birthday, and we will never be back. We had my mom's birthday party there yesterday and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The restaurant charged us $90 per person but there was barely any food on the table. We had 11 guests but the food served was hardly enough for 2 people. There were a few kebabs, a little bit of white rice, cold and oily potatoes, three pieces of cheese, and a small bowl of hummus. None of the guests were happy with the food and most of them went home hungry. No alcohol was included, obviously. To add insult to injury, the waiter asked for additional cash at the end of the evening for live music fees which was never mentioned before. We had already left generous tips for everyone but this additional fee was completely unexpected. All in all, it was a terrible experience and we will definitely not...
