On 1/25/24 I googled RL return/exchange policy without a receipt and called the store to confirm. I explained to on the manager that I received this item as a gift for Christmas and I didn’t have the receipt and I just wanted to exchange it for size. I was told they would honor it as a one time courtesy. I came into the store on 1/26/24 with the sweatsuit and both manager and sales lady were folding clothes at the front of the store. I explained I had called the day before and I needed to exchange the item without a receipt as it was a gift. They were hesitant and looked at each other and then I was asked if I had an account. I had just told them I received this item as a gift so no I do not have an account and if I did it would have this item on it. I said my sister purchased it for me she may have an account so I said I’ll give her a call. The manager waited until I called and then started walking me to the register. I got the information and gave it to him he took the items out of the bag and started to inspect them looking at the tags, etc I said the items have never been worn I just needed a larger size. He pulls up the items on my sisters account and went to reexamine the tags and clothes again. He asked me what size I needed I said a medium.. he said ok I’ll go get it went to get the items.. scanned them etc and said here’s a copy of the receipt. I took the items and proceeded to look around the store the sales lady asked me did I still need help and was basically following me around the store with her eyes. I felt so uncomfortable, I just said no I’m just looking. The manager some how made his way to be lookin at me as well. Why??!! They treated me like I was a criminal for simply trying to exchange an item without a receipt it’s Jan it’s right after Christmas most ppl don’t have receipts bc ppl are buying multiple items. I didn’t ask for credit or money just a larger size and the original item was still folded the way it was from the store in the bag bc I saw it was a small and I knew I couldn’t fit it. I was followed around as if I was going to steal something and everyone knows that most repeat sales are from ppl who exchange or return something. I saw two items I was going to purchase but I didn’t bc I didn’t want them to make a dime off of me. In 2024 ppl still look at how ppl are dressed and the color of their skin to assume that they can’t afford something or that they are attempting to steal. The $110 shirt is less than what I make per hour. If the items wasn’t a gift I would have made them credit my...
Read moreStrongly avoid if you are black. I just had a very horrible experience.
The dressing room attendant was literally staring and trying to look inside of the dressing room as I was try on One shirt.. I get that they need to keep an eye on people in the store just in case someone is trying to steal something but I'm walking around with crutches and I only went in there with one shirt. I was totally disgusted with her behavior and I yelled her if she would please stop trying to look in the dressing room as I was changing.. When I reported it to her manager the manager said I'm sorry but you were not singled out and she was just trying to do her job.. I've been shopping for over 20 years in these Ralph Lauren stores and never have I had someone try to look inside of the dressing room especially when trying to try on one article of clothing. No one should have to deal with that sort of atrocious Behavior from a dressing...
Read moreI went shopping today at the Ralph Lauren Gloucester outlet in NJ. There were not many customers in the store and all employees were talking to each other, I don’t care it because I can just walk around by myself. I picked a sweater and go to checkout, I saw all the cashiers are undisciplined, I had an item to return but the register had some issue and the cashier called a manager to come. The manager is a black man, tall, bearded, he casually started his performance. He talked to himself and other cashier the whole time, and I tried to explain my problem but he never talk to me or even looked at me. I didn’t want to be unhappy, so I just paid and say...
