Where to start? Jeremy and Tim (I believe it was Tim, I know I specifically talked to Jeremy) are the best. Honestly.
My Sunday started with wanting to replace some spark plugs (heavily modified car, but we'll get there). It was hot out, I was in a rush because I wanted to go on a cruise with some friends to a car show. Now I'm not usually picky, or needy or impatient. But there is an AutoZone much closer to my house. (here is where I went wrong, I should've known better). So I call up AutoZone and tell them I'm looking for spark plugs, NGK 4554 specifically. The staff member on the phone kept repeating the part number back to me incorrectly almost like it was some kind of reverse prank phone call?! Then he promptly put me on hold because that "wasn't a good number". About 5 minutes later I get a quick "okay thanks bye" and he hung up on me!! So I immediately call back and someone else answers all happy. I don't mean to be rude but I ask them about what just happened? And of course they have no idea what is going on in their store but go on with the classic "year make and model?". I told her it was not specific to a vehicle, I don't even know what vehicle came with these plugs from the factory but they are NGK 4554. Again "not a good number. I need to know what kind of car". Finally after doing their job for them they were found. Not in stock. They go on to tell me the fastest way to order is online and they'll be ready for pick up Monday....wow you won't even order them for me? So I nicely respond with no I'm going to call oreilly in golden valley because they won't hang up on me!
I promptly call the store and Jeremy answers nicely. Tell him the exact same thing I told AutoZone. I need some spark plugs! NGK 4554. I don't think it even took him 10 seconds to respond "yep I have 8 of those here price is $x.xx per" I told him "great put them on the shelf, I'll be right over!". WOW at this point I'm blown away. Amazing.
I walk in the store, looks like Jeremy is on the phone, so Tim greets me and I told him I'm just here to pick up the plugs I called for.."oh yep these ones here". TEAMWORK. That's what I'm talking about. Paid and out the door in literally 3 minutes or less.
Jeremy I wish you weren't on the phone I would have offered you a hug!

Back in the day we were absolutely NOT allowed to put a call on hold, and had to take calls as they came in. Mow days it seems ok to put customers on hold for upwards of 15-30 min. Its rediculous sometimes. Id much rather drive there to see what I need. Because they usually have what I need, the warranty is always better than the competition, and then you don't have to wait on hold, and you can put eyes on what your looking for anyways because some of these new and young bucks dont always get the right part the 1st time.    Read moreI went to the OâReilly in Golden Valley this evening thinking Eagan had sold me the wrong bulbs for my headlights. When my husband and I walked in Russ greeted us promptly and was so polite. He reassured us that we had the correct lights and even offered to install them for us. He was quick, efficient, polite, friendly. Itâs pretty cold outside this evening and he stood out there in the cold changing a total of 3 bulbs for us because we couldnât guarantee that the one high beam light hadnât been touched. I offered to buy him a cocoa and he hesitated but I insisted. He looked a bit surprised when I came back with the cocoa I had promised him, he again politely thanked me. I think that the world could use more Russâ his customer service is impeccable. I will be back to this location...
