FH Flooring — Local services in Golden

A water leak destroyed our kitchen floor a few months ago. A water mitigation company ripped out the damaged flooring, damaging the subfloor, cabinet toe kicks, and shoe molding in the process. In addition to needing a new floor, we ended up needing a plywood overlay on the damaged subfloor, new toe kicks, and reinstallation of the shoe molding.

After a lot of shopping around and reading reviews, we went with FH Flooring. They were great from start to finish.

We worked with Scott to pick our new flooring and pin down all the details regarding the plywood overlay, toe kicks, and shoe molding. Scott brought a wide range of flooring samples to our house, then met us at FH Flooring's showroom to look at even more options. He walked us through tons of options -- different materials, products, manufacturers, etc. -- and explained the pros and cons of each. He answered all of our questions and was patient with us as we mulled over the options.

After choosing our flooring, the contracting, payment, and scheduling process went very smoothly. Communication on billing and scheduling was great. The installation crew arrived on time, with all of the right materials in-hand, and completed the installation in less time than they had originally estimated. The installation crew even did a great job cleaning up before they left. I couldn't ask for anything better.

We had a misunderstanding about one detail of the installation. I spoke with Dana, owner of FH Flooring, and he went out of his way to make sure that we were completely happy with the installation. Excellent quality service! I've contacted and compared to half a dozen flooring companies, and they were the best ones to work with from the start to delivery/install of our floors. Some of the highlights of our experience:

Accurate and fair quote - Simon did a great job providing a detailed quote, and provided their recommended floor which is cheaper but higher in quality and looks than the floor that recommended. He was able to make adjustments when we decided to make changes to the initial quote.

Clear and timely communication - We had a somewhat tight schedule and they were able to communicate well with us on the dates for delivery and install, and let us know asap when the work was delayed for 1 day. As with any projects you would have to expect delays and circle-back, they were always attentive to get everything corrected.

Quality of work - The new floor looks amazing! We had all of our carpet replaced with LVP, and traditional hardwood floor extended for a section in the living room. Everything looks spectacular. Comparing our existing hardwood floor with their installed floor, I can see their floor has much better fit and finish. They also took their time and effort to level out the basement concrete to ensure a smooth flat floor.

Thank you FH Flooring for your tremendous service and work. When it came time to update our basement flooring I reached out to a few flooring services. I went with FH Flooring from the other services for a few reasons.

Their staff was approachable, patient in answering all my questions and concerns, and didn't come across condescending. I worked primarily with Dana and his team throughout selecting the right flooring.

My wife, three month and I came to the office and Dana re-explained the differences in LVP to her he had explained a few days prior to me. From my interactions with some of FH's competitors I don't think we would have been afforded that time or re-explanation.

The crew that came in and did the work on the self-leveling were very efficient and great! The additional crews were very mindful of the space and navigating as other contract work was being done during the installation of the floors (we had a new garage door installed).

The crews were very detail oriented and left no mess.

Every step of the process was clear and transparent, even with delays from the warehousing FH Flooring kept us in the loop.
