Live an hour away from this location but my friends just love to drag me up and down the road with them. I happened to be hungry that day with a hankering for some fried chicken. So my friend who is familiar with area got me fried chicken. Yummy. So weeks later with another friend went back and took time to read the menu. Wait! Fish plates? Say what? Got to have it. Catfish. Was enough for me to make two fantastic sandwiches and leave some for my traveling companion. A mistake was made in the handling of the remaining of that box. It was taken home by the new owner and they were awakened by familiar faces gobbling up what was left. So three people got to eat and enjoy. Where is there room for complaint in that experience. Next time someone wants to drive to Goldsboro will want to try...

Since I went to Goldsboro High School(years ago) this has been the go to place to run to for the freshest chicken, fries, burgers, pork chop sandwiches. Today I stopped in with my daughter and great niece. My great niece goes there after scholl to grab some food like I use to. The quality of the food is priceless. The customer service is on point and I have NEVER had a bad meal from there. I use to go there for my late Mother's and she loved everything from there. I can say that after 4 decades, this place is still on the top of my go to places when I visit my family in Goldsboro. If you have not stopped by, go ahead. This store closes before 10pm. The regular guy that is there now, is rude and disrespectful. The hours are incorrect. They close way before time to. Even close before 10pm a lot of the time. The new owners now are so slow and don't seam to care about their customers at all. I was a regular customer but now I barley even go into this store. I'd much rather go somewhere else than to have to keep putting up with them closing earlier than the normal 10pm and or 11pm like there time says. Sad it's gotta be this way buy what are we supposed to do if no one at this store listens to our & or other...
