Mi Cabana Mexican Restaurant #10 — Restaurant in Goldsboro

I think the food is very good and is attractive. What I have ordered has been reasonably priced and adequate amount to satisfy me. It has been consistent in flavor at my visits but it seems like it may be arranged differently on the plate. The only reason I mention it is because I don't particularly like the taco served laying up next to the enchilada because it tends to be soggy on the part that touches the sauce when it served. It might be better to have a little lettuce separating the two. I have had good waitresses and I have had not so good waitresses. To me there seems to be a problem between the hostess the waitress and the bartender gathering at the checkout and having a good old time joking and laughing but for the most part ignoring the patrons. I have had to actually raise my hand and wave it to get their attention . Update: January 2023 I thought I'd give it another go and I had very good service and I tried the pork fajita, which was moist and tender except for a few pieces that were a little tough. I was served a large meaty portion for the dinner menu and I had a choice of beans and salad or rice and salad. I particularly like their beans because some restaurants make their beans into a paste and has no palatable consistency. rude as can be, so let me tell you the first time i kind of let it go and swept it under the rug due to the mannerism attitude .. Now the second time today I called in because my coworkers wanted to try the food out, don't get me wrong the food is great! but the attitude and the conversation over the phone oh no baby! I am a Guatemalan Woman and yes my spanish is not the best but I try to speak it for respect purposes, but this man on the phone was very impatient with me and I felt bad because I felt like I was speaking mandarin chinese to him and he kept on huffing and puffing..I finally asked " do you speak english" and he didn't say nothing after that and so I proceeded. So when I got there to pick up my food I previously told him on the phone I had 4 orders..He tried to charge me the whole total on one ticket...I did not have it because I had separate cash and debit cards from the coworkers.. when i mentioned that again he gave out a nasty sigh of frustration. right there I thought to myself wow am I really annoying to you or something. I felt very upset and grabbed my food mainly gave the place another go because of my co workers. I stopped going to my longtime favorite Mexican restaurant in Mt. Olive after new management took over and they drastically raised their prices. While in Goldsboro I saw this place and am so glad that I took a chance. They offer many vegetarian and seafood options which I appreciate. I ordered chili poblanos with cheese and mushrooms which were fantastic! I appreciate that I can customize my fillings since every place in Goldsboro or Mount Olive that I have been to either doesn’t offer them without meat or they are premade so you have to take what you can get. The chips were fresh and the salsa and guacamole dip are some of the best that I’ve had. I was surprised they had raspberry margaritas since I have not found a restaurant in years that offered them.
