I will never shop in the Target in Goldsboro, NC, which is upsetting because the Target stores in TX were my favorite stores to shop at. I just went thru a divorce and moved to a little town called Pikeville that is a 30 minute drive from the Goldsboro Target. The store is next to an Olive Garden and I was hungry but I haven't become comfortable eating out by myself yet, so I bought a salad at Olive Garden, in the shade behind Target to eat it before I went in. I had a lot of shopping to do since I have just moved across the country and wanted all new stuff to start a new life and didn't want to shop on an empty stomach. I was just finishing my salad, preparing to drive around front and go in when a police man pulled up beside me. Keep in mind I'm a 58 year old woman who weighs less than 100 lbs, he actually apologized but said the security in the store had called the police department to come have me leave. If I had known my parking in the shade to eat a salad before shopping was against their policy I wld NEVER have done it. If someone from security had simply come out to my car and asked me to leave I would have instantly complied but calling the police, who apologized to me for having to do something so ridiculous was embarrassing and totally unnecessary. I was in no way threatening and had a long list of items I needed for my new home and didn't care to drive 30 minutes home, eat and spend 30 minutes driving back when I was right next to Target. I have to honestly say I never actually went into the store because I was in tears and decided right then to go to Bed, Bath & Beyond, T.J.MAXX, anywhere but that Target. My feeling being that if that is how they treat customers even before you enter I have no desire to find out how one is treated in the store. I know it probably sounds silly but I felt like they had taken away something familiar that I had been forward to enjoying. I have never had anyone feel the need to call the police because of something I was doing and I don't think my actions warranted it. It was embarrassing...
Read moreThe last several times I’ve been in here the price tags are incorrect. I go to the cashier & of course the price is higher than what is listed on the shelf. I’m so used to Target doing this that I’m in the habit of taking a photo of the price. I show the cashier the photo of the price listed & she gives me a hard time. Why would I agree to pay a higher price if I don’t have to? She finally gets the manager who tells her - honor the price listed. Target - if you want your customers to pay the higher price simply correct your price tags. It’s also inconvenient for the customer who thinks it’s one price & then gets an unpleasant surprise at the register. A simple solution would be for you to have your items priced correctly & if you can’t do that for whatever reason - tell your cashiers to honor what you have the price listed as. Most employees are great here, but there are 2 that are not nice, so if I can’t use self checkout I just leave. I don’t have to...
Read moreI felt like I needed to leave a good review after my experience today. The last few years at this particular Target store I felt that it has really gone down hill. So many item without price tags constantly, empty and messy shelves. Not able to find a price on something because it’s in the wrong place. I walked in this morning and it was like the Target of about 5 years ago. Everything was clean, shelves were full, people were talking and asking if you needed help, everything was tagged with a price. It was really so refreshing. I use to brag about how great our target was to everyone. I hated that it changed so much the last few years. I’m not sure if it’s the increase in staff because of holiday help or if it’s new management but either way it was such a great experience this...
