Belk — Local services in Goldsboro

Horrible service. I placed my order online and went inside to pick it up. The older lady behind the counter was rude, had an "I don't care" attitude, and wasn't helpful at all. She was already upset that she had to take online purchases to customers waiting in cars. She was also upset that the girl who usually works in that department went to lunch and never returned and she was assigned to work in this department. She took every opportunity to make it known to the customers that this counter was not her regular department and refused to answer basic questions. Customers demanded to speak with a manager. After which time, she literally took her purse and walked away leaving myself and 2 other customers waiting for help. Lines throughout the store were long. More help is needed during the holiday season. Horrible, horrible...

My sister and I went to Belks in Goldsboro, NC yesterday February 19th. We found exactly what we needed and many other things. The store was organized and it was very easy to find what we needed, probably a little to easy! We were able to shop, use the fitting rooms and check out very easily. We shopped, bought a few things and then went into the mall to other stores. Then we came back through Belks and bought a few more things. Through both transactions, it was easy to find a cash register and we never had to wait in a line. Both times a lady named Patty checked us out. She was very friendly and reminded professional the entire time. We've meet her over our past visits and she's always treated us with respect. She's the kind of person that makes you feel special. I was totally taken aback by the condition of tire store. Belk was a household name growing up when you mentioned department stores. The (Goldsboro NC) store is not clean or shoppers ready. Clothes on the floors tossed over hangers. Mounds on top of mounds until it was tall enought to stand alone with nothing falling off. Only 2 counters open for checkout. My brother placed an online order in Smithfield NC and it took 3hr for the order fulfillment. Because of all the merchandise being all over the place it took them that long to find the item he ordered.... Needless to say Belk please do better to invite customers and ever harder to keep the ones you have because this was completely unexpected that the stores were in such terrible condition.
