Definitely a haven for bookworms, comic nerds, and anime/manga fans. Very clean, with friendly staff. The cafe is a little on the pricey side, but the treats are portioned but enough that is makes it worth it. Sadly over the years, it seems like the scifi and fantasy novels have decreased as they have added in other inventory, but the staff are happy to order books I could not find on the shelves during past visits. "Oh, but why not just order it online?" I went in today like I do a few times a month and bought some books for my husband and sons. When I got to the check out counter Teagan (who I guess is the manager according to them) said “Do you have a membership with us?” to which I reply as I do ever time I am asked about memberships “No thank you.” Teagan then proceeded to say with a huge attitude “That isn’t what I asked you.” I said “I’m sorry I meant I’m not interested.” Teagan then said “again no what I asked you”. I didn’t say anything else because I did not want to engage with this person. When they were done checking me out they just pushed my books to me and said “here”.

Decent selection of books and magazines. Seems to also adequately cater to the comic/magna crowd as well. I read more action fiction than anything else. This is the only book store in Goldsboro other than the Christian book store. I don't drink over priced underwhelming coffee drinks so I can not speak to the quality of the cafe. The staff are usually pleasant but I wish corporate would stop making them push their magazine subscriptions and discount card. I don't shop often enough for the card to be worthwhile.
