Hands down our new favorite gym! We have pretty much been members at every gym in this area and have found that the smaller community of this gym is more in line with what motivates us best. We were tired of the big gyms that push how cheap their monthly rate is when it is obvious you get what you pay for. We disliked the overly bright, overly packed, waiting long periods of time for equipment, rude arrogant patrons who seem to have lost the fun camaraderie, gym etiquette, and common courtesy of working out with and around others. Chad has, and continues to Create a community of people who support one another by creating a positive environment and offers continuous support and knowledge to further one’s growth, no matter what their level of Fitness is. I kinda hate writing this review because we want it to stay small and kinda of still unknown right now since it’s so new, but we can’t not share our enthusiasm. We are also really pumped to see the extended space he has been working on open up. It’s just gonna keep getting better! Do yourself a favor and check it out. Hopefully I’ll...
Read moreI've never been happier at a gym! Although the gym is on the smaller end, I never have trouble using the machine/platform I want. I've gone at all sorts of times (6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm), and it never gets too busy. Also, A.R.E.A. 44 Fitness is locally run and family-owned, which makes me feel good about where my money is going. The month-to-month contract with no annual fee is great, too. The owner, Chad, knows everybody's names and is genuinely interested in your fitness and your life! You won't get that at 90% of regular gyms. Sign up for a gym membership where the owner cares about you and the facility!
Pros: Great environment Family-owned Not busy Very clean Month-to-month contract w/ no annual fee Always being improved, often by member feedback
Cons: Limited hours (for now) No showers (yet!!) Can get hot inside...

While the gym wasn’t for me (I prefer to swim as my primary workout), I can see this place succeeding. The extra rooms he’s building himself look promising and the outside courtyard has a lot of potential as well. I’d recommend giving this place a chance if you’re...
