I recently had a disappointing phone call with Bob’s Vacuum that I feel needs to be shared. I reached out to discuss servicing my Miele vacuum, as I was under the impression that Bob's honors their agreement with Miele to service vacuums regardless of where they were purchased.
I used to purchase vacuums and bags from the Hollister location when it was under different ownership and never experienced anything like this. A few years ago I tried to take a vacuum that I had purchased from them in for service and couldn't even find their new location or get anyone on the phone to help me locate them.
After speaking with Miele they said I needed to take it to a local technician so I relented to call Bob's Vacuum. Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse. The owners demeanor during the call was quite rude and dismissive. I felt chastised like a juvenile. Despite explaining my situation, he continuously insisted that if I had purchased my vacuum locally, he would gladly service it. However, since I bought it from another retailer, he could not guarantee any support under the warranty and basically hung up on me.
This was frustrating to hear, especially given the partnership between Bob’s Vacuum and Miele, which led me to believe I would receive service regardless of the purchase location. It was disheartening to experience such a lack of customer service and feel unwelcome as a potential customer.

Read moreI am unfortunately joining the many who have had a bad experience at Bob’s Vacuum with the 2 men who work there now. They took months to let me know what was going on with my vacuum. I called periodically and then they said they couldn’t find my vacuum and that it was in storage. They told me to call back. They eventually gave me back someone else’s vacuum; an older model with a completely different undercarriage incompatible with the accessory parts I had at home. So I returned it to them. I was very patient even when they accused me of lying about it not being the correct vacuum. I politely asked Gilbert if they could help me get a replacement vacuum maybe at wholesale price or a discount to make me whole. I couldn't be more thrilled with my experience at Bob's Vacuum. I was greeted by professionals who really knew their products and cared about getting me into the right vacuums for my home and specific needs. They steered me in the right direction 110% . I'm excited for my purchase and convinced I will never shop any where else. They also carry my Miele dishwasher supplies!! I have my eye on the top rated air purifier they carry and plan to make it my next purchase.
