Bought a new stacked washer/dryer unit. From first use the dryer was making a grinding noise. I called the store and spoke to Tim on March 7th. He said he would notify the store manager, Brian, so he could order a replacement and would call me back. Nine days later (March 16th) I called as I hadn't heard anything. They forgot to order it. Was promised by Tim he would speak with Brian. He said Brian was off Wed and Thur and would be in at noon on the 18th. I called at noon on March 18th and was told by Tim that Brian was out of the store on a customer call but he would leave a message so Brian could call me back. No call. I called Tim back after 6 that evening. He promised to take care of locating a new unit for me and asked me to call the next day no earlier than 10:30. I called on the 19th at 10:30. Tim forgot to check on it but promised he would do it. I asked him to make sure he calls me back. Four hours later Tim calls saying he located one. The earliest he would deliver it was four days later on the 23rd. The delivery guys came tonight (23rd). After loading the faulty unit I asked them to take my old unit. They refused so I called American Freight to talk with Tim or Brian. Tim answered and he refused as well. He said I would have to pay a haul away fee. I explained the big inconvenience all this has been. I didn't care for his condescending tone as if he was doing me a favor when he said, "We replaced your unit and delivered it to you." He would only do it if I tipped each delivery guy $20. My family was without a working dryer for 2 1/2 weeks. I had to disconnect the faulty unit, remove two interior doors and a wall sconce to allow for removal of the bad one and delivery of the new one. Then I had to connect the new one. Him taking my old unit is the least they could do. I didn't ask for a small refund or store credit. I will never do business with American Freight again and will tell others about...
Read moreMy mother wanted to stop by that place to shop for a mattress (on her birthday). She purchased a loveseat there several years ago and has been pleased with the product. So, she wanted to check out what they had to offer as far as mattresses.
Ms. Susan was our sales person. She was AWESOME!!! I was Very impressed in how well she interacted with us, especially with my mother who is in her 70's. Ms. Susan presented very "down to earth", was very personable, and very attentive to my mother's needs and desires as far as a mattress is concerned. She was also very honest and straightforward as far as pricing and financing. She even suggested that we shop around at other stores before making a final decision. That alone suggests that she was all about the customer's best interests, and not her commission.
We did just as she suggested; checked out other stores that sell mattresses. We ended up right back at her store and was going to demand her to be our completing sales person. However, that wasn't necessary because as soon as she saw us come back into the store, she said, "I'll be with you in just a few minutes." [she was working with another customer at the moment.] I could go on and on, but Ms. Susan is an EXCELLENT sales person!!! If you go there, ask for MS. SUSAN!!! And by the way, my mother is VERY pleased with the mattress. And that makes me...
Read moreI bought a queen mattress set and rocker/recliner love seat a month ago. The love seat said "as-is" on it, so I said to both the manager and salesman "That's the chair that's going to show up in the same condition it's in now, correct? It's not going to somehow shoe up with damage is it? The manager said "No, it'll be just like it is now." Well it showed up with 2 corners bent back on the back top of it and a staple sticking out the side of it. I called immediately and was told they would switch it out the next weekend. The following weekend, no show, no contact at all. I go there again. The manager tells me he will switch it out the next evening after work. Again, no show, no call. I feel I've been taken for a fool. They lied to my face several times! Pulled the classic bait and switch even after being asked directly if that would be done! I was told that is the couch I'm buying, and a different one was brought, after being told that wouldn't happen. They clearly think I'm a fool. They have failed to stand behind their furniture, even immediately. They sold me scratch n dent stuff! I guess this means there is NO WARRANTY !!! Lying is personally offensive also. They did it nicely at least... But I don't feel respected at all as a customer! And won't beg for the service and product I...
